"Dad! Papa!" I screamed, flailing around in the arms of a very strong man. Tears streamed down my face as he tightened his already powerful hold on my small body. "Please let me go!" He just grunted while dragging me away with my futile attempts to make him drop me. "Papa!" I wailed, shaking as I gave up - already knowing that I was too weak to even fight a man like him.

"James!"

I sobbed, feeling my arms bruise as I tried to get away once again. "Dad!" I fought against the muscular man as my gaze landed on my parents just as they shifted and ran after us. "Not a chance" I heard the man mumble and my breath caught in my throat as he easily shifted and caught my body midair between his long canines. I screeched and sobbed loudly when his sharp incisors pierced through my stomach.

I jolted off the floor, panting and sweating with tears pouring down my cheeks. I was sobbing hard and clutching my chest through my tattered t-shirt.

"Stop crying you stupid mutt!"

I flinched and pushed my body towards the stone wall behind me, trying to get as far away from the man as possible. He just glowered at me before he turned around and disappeared behind the corner. His name was Gregory, I came to learn it over the four years that I've been here. He's a very cruel, ruthless man that doesn't care if I'm hungry, thirsty or bleeding - he gets pleasure from seeing me writhe in agony and crumble under his power. I still remember the day when he took me, that day when he took me away from everything I once knew; my parents, my friends and my pack. I was only fifteen years old and I still hadn't shifted and I still haven't and I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my small, frail body.

"Get up, mutt!"

I recoiled when Gregory harshly gripped my bruised arm and yanked me up. "It's time," He muttered and I froze, whimpering in dread as he only looked down at me with a smirk. "You know.." He trailed of while opening a steel door, "Fear is a really good look on you" I screamed as he suddenly pushed me away from his body, his strength making me fly a few feet in the air before all the air whooshed out of my lungs as my back connected with a tree.

"Run all you want, James, we're everywhere," Gregory said.

I looked around at all the smirking faces of his pack, their eyes glinting with mischief before I turned around and hurried into the dense forest.

-

Tears streamed down my face like a waterfall as I fell for the third time, screeching when landing face first onto the muddy floor. I choked on a sob, miserably giving up as I slowly pushed myself up from the ground with trembling arms. My whole body throbbed in pain as I tried to crawl towards a cave a few meters away from me, only trying to get into some kind of safety before Gregory finds me and does gods knows what to my body.

I wanted to give up so badly and just end my miserable life but I just couldn't, I had to keep fighting for my parents sake and my own. I dreamed of a free life with a loving mate by my side, maybe a few children running around and most of all I wanted my parents. I longed after their loving presence, their warm hugs and their home cooked meals.

I sighed heavily as I finally reached the cave, slowly pushing myself up against the stone wall with the little strength I had left. I hated this time of the year. They would finally free me only to hunt me down and torture me all over again. I've never succeeded in getting away and I didn't want to get my hopes up only for them to get crushed by Gregory's strong clutches. I ran a tired hand down my face, finally letting the exhaustion take over me as I slipped into unconsciousness.

-

I slowly woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the sunlight hitting me in the face, giving me some extra warmth as I shook my limbs awake. I immediately understood that I had slept through the day and a little smile stretched across my face at the realization that they hadn't found me yet.

Do not get your hopes up, James.

I kept muttering that phrase inside my mind like a mantra while I continued my walk through the forest. The beautiful scenery kept taking my breath away and the sun on my face kept up the small spark of hope inside me that I knew I shouldn't have. I just couldn't help thinking that I've finally succeeded in getting away the further I walked, ran or crawled. Just the thought of finally getting away from that cruel pack made a smile blossom on my face and my heart to beat faster inside my chest.

-

My legs were shaking as I kept on walking, trying to find a possible shelter for the night when a loud growl echoed throughout the night air. My whole body shook in fear as I immediately picked up my pace, trying to run away from the thundering of paws before it was too late.

I told you to not get your hopes up, James.

I scolded myself inside my mind, my eyes watering at the thought that they had finally caught up to me. Just the thought of going back to that cruel place made me stumble and tears to fall down my face. I knew I wasn't fast enough, I'd become far too weak. My thoughts were confirmed as an army of different colored wolfs jumped before my path, growling and snarling in my direction.

"Hands behind your back, knees on the ground"

A harsh voice bellowed, and I fell to my knees in defeat. I choked on a sob, sending a quick prayer to whoever that was listening, before I glanced up at the man who was straddling a magnificent wolfs back. He was watching me with a cold, assessing glare and I shivered, watching as he climbed off the back of the black, silver wolf. He let his hands run trough the thick fur on the top of the wolfs head before he faced my trembling form with furrowed brows.

"Who are you and what are you doing on Alpha Peters pack grounds?"

His voice held no argument and I stumbled over my words, desperately trying to get an explanation out of my parched throat. "I m-meant no h-harm" I managed to croak out, licking my cracked lips with my dry tongue. The man only gazed at me for a moment before nodding, turning back to the big wolf, climbing up on its back and gripping its luscious fur.

"Take him to the Alpha!"
