Arjun was sitting in the first class seat booked for him and was on his way to Delhi next evening. It was still an hour to reach Delhi so he just closed his eyes for a while and leaned back to relax. Pakhi's tearful face came into his view. He instantly opened his eyes and sat straight. He thought angrily that will he ever be able to forget her and move on in his life. He had seen Pakhi occasionally a few times in these last three years like during Karan's marriage and during Vidhya's funeral. But both the times she had avoided him like a plague. She purposely ignored him like she had not seen him only. He wished everytime he saw her to go near her and hug her in his embrace and apologize for his mistakes but she hated his guts now.

It was really painful seeing her that close to him and not talking with her. He snapped out of his thoughts when he heard the flight attendant asking them to buckle their seat belt for landing. He directly went to his apartment unit he recently bought few years ago for his stay in Delhi. Initially he would stay at Karan's house whenever he came Delhi but now since Pakhi won't be comfortable with his presence after that incident, he bought a house for himself to stay in Delhi. It was already night time so he gave a call to Karan and informed him about his arrival and also get the details about his tomorrow's meeting.

Next day morning, after his meeting with the company owner, he called Karan and said "Buddy I had completed my meeting with that crook. You were right he did everything in his power to convince me for agreeing to his terms but he forgot that he was dealing with us this time. Finally after a few futile efforts, he submitted to our terms and signed the deed. Now his company officially belongs to us" Karan smiled after hearing him and replied "Well done Arjun and cheers to us for this successful take over. Since this is our first joint venture, I am really looking forward to it. It would be a pleasure working with you Mr.Khanna. You have been quiet famous these last year's for your successful ventures"

Arjun laughed out loud hearing him "Ohh the pleasure would be mine Mr.Oberoi. How about we meet today night for celebrating?" Karan replied "I would love to go outside to celebrate but I told Mom and Dad that you have came to Delhi so they had threatened me to get you home today for dinner. So let's plan an outing tomorrow night. Come at my home today for dinner or else mom will have my head, you know her right?" Arjun was silent hearing him. Going to Oberoi Manson means seeing Pakhi. Ohh no he cannot go there and again see the accusations in her eyes for him. He was hanging on a last thread away to drag her somewhere far from everyone and make her understand what really happened three years back. How she misunderstood him and how he still loves her madly. She still has one year left to complete her college and he didn't want to distract her from her studies. He had achieved so much and had changed himself for her only so that he could be a better man for Pakhi.

"Hello Arjun you there buddy?" He heard Karan inquiring from other side. He sighed and replied "Tell aunty and uncle that I will come home to meet them some other day probably not today" Karan argued "No man if you don't wish to come home today, you personally call them and inform but please don't drag me in between. They will even not allow me to have dinner if you don't come with me so please come today" Arjun sighed. He knew any of his excuse will fall on deaf ears and he didn't want to hurt Sanjay and Anuradha's feelings. They had given him so much love and warmth. He can surely bear Pakhi's aloofness for their sake. So he said Karan "Fine then I will reach by my own at your house before dinner time OK. I have my car so I would drive by myself" Karan agreed and said his goodbye.

Well let's prepare ourselves for another rejection he thought sadly.
