You try and get over what happened yesterday but it kept bugging at my mind. Carl held my hand at breakfast and Rick was smiling at us.
"Are you guys a thing yet?" he smirks. Carl answers first.
"I think so." I blushed a deep shade is Scarlet. Rick asked to talk to Carl for a minute and he obliged. A few minutes later, Carl came back steaming.
"He doesn't know about us. He doesn't care." he mumbled.
"Carl, what's wrong?"
"My dad thinks he knows best but he doesn't."
I don't question any further and I suggest me and Carl go to his cell. You both sit on his bed and talk to each other.
"How did this happen to us? I mean, we're some of the only survivors in the entire world and it turns out you are my soulmate." Carl says.
"Thank god for the apocalypse." Carl smirked at you and gave you a kiss on the forehead.
The day passed by quickly and you ended up staying in Carl's cell for the night. You both laid side by side with just your hands touching each other. You roll onto your side and look at him. He looks so peaceful sleeping there. The moonlight slipping through the cell bars, illuminating his beautiful face.
He was perfect, and he was finally yours.
