We came across a lake filled with fish and in the distance I could see a spinosaurus and in the water a mosasaur. The ground shook with the thunderous steps of a brachiosaurus. Basking in the sun was a Sarcosuchus a big one too. "Should we stay here?" I asked looking over to Psycho who was on Coco. "No" "Too much danger" Psycho responded turning Coco. I nodded and Pine turned the same way as Coco and started running so did Coco. Psycho and I tried to get them to stop but then...i realized a pack of Raptors was closing in on us. "Raptors!!!" I shouted as Coco got rammed into by one. Pine and I acted quickly and lept into battle biting into the Raptor's neck and ripped it off of Coco. I slipped off and hit the Raptor's side with my axe. It let out one final call for help before Pine snapped its neck. I turned holding my axe tightly ready as the tall grass shook then stopped. It didn't turn my back to it, Raptors are smart creatures. I climbed onto Pine and we raced off. Psycho started to follow with Coco. Me and Pine kept an eye on our surrounding acting as if Coco and Psycho was precious cargo that mustn't be lost. "Thank You" Psycho said after her nerves settled. I turned too her and nodded "No problem." We kept moving away from the lake. The sun was starting to set as we came across a small pond and had to work quickly. I started working on a fire while Psycho worked on a small home. Pine helped by clawing some rocks till he found one that made a spark. He picked it up in his jaws and brought it over to me. "Thank you buddy" I took the rock and petted his snout then turned and lit the pile of wood. We couldn't finish the tent in time so we curled up. Me and Psycho on the inside and Coco and Pine on the out. Pine didn't sleep for a while his head high looking around keeping watch. I soon fell asleep as Pine looked down at me. He then laid his head down as everything went dark. It was a dreamless night or maybe I just forgot about it. I felt something touching my foot and i woke, opening my eyes slowly and seeing 2 compys nipping at my foot. I kicked them away and they scattered back into the forest. Pine woke up and stood to stretch. I looked up and stood. Psy and Coco still slept and I didn't bother to wake them. Pine took a drink of water and so did I. We went out but stayed close to the camp. We crept quietly through the forest out for the kill. Pine leapt at a compy and snapped the neck. I took it from him and he kept on the hunt and snapped his jaws on a resting Troodon. Pine snapped its neck before it could let out a call of alarm. Clearly Pine was a skilled hunter. He dragged it along while I carried the compy. Once we came back Psycho had woken up and was working on a new fire. "Your Back!" She shouted getting up to hug me. "Ya, and we brought food" I showed her the compy and Pine dragged the Troodon and showed his catch proudly. "Pine caught these" I sayed looking back at him then to Psycho. Psy took the compy from me and skinned it and such before putting it on the fire to cook. I set the skinned Troodon next to it to cook. I sat down, my back to a tree. Pine came over to me and rested his head on my lap. I rubbed his head and down to his neck then back up. Basically petted him wherever she could reach. Psycho turned the meat over the fire her back laid on Coco. Everything was calm and quiet. Except the bellows in the distance and howls of a pack of Dire Wolves. It was early still I guess all the dinosaurs was still asleep. Pine ended up falling asleep on my lap. I kept rubbing him. He was a good pet, no, friend... a good friend. I tilted my head to the sky watching a Dimorphodon fly over the small clearing and disappeared behind the towering trees. I looked back over to Psycho. Thinking about it we never really talked much. "Psy" I spoke finally. "Yah?" she responded. "Do you miss home?" I asked. "..." it took her awhile to respond. "Yes" she responded quietly and simply. I didn't respond with words and only nodded. Dead end I thought... "H-hey uh...what dinosaur you wanna see?" I asked my voice shaking a bit from the last question I asked. "A uh...mh maybe a T-Rex?" "What about you?" Psy answered then asked. "Baryonyx" I responded without the quiver when I last spoke. "Why a Baryonyx?" she asked. "Well...that's my favorite dinosaur to put it simply." i responded. She nodded.
