The Fault in our Worlds (A Destiel Fanfic)

Chapter 4

I re-watched 2 seasons of SUA that night.

SUA is a a story of seven different characters, living in parallel universes. Well, really, it's one character, Sadie, that discovers a way to trevel between universes. She finds her parallel universe self, and at the end of season 1, falls in love with a guy (Jack) that lives in the seventh universe she travels to. She blends into the life of her copy in that universe, but because she had stuffed up the order and balance of the universes, things go south in season 2. The her that she had placed in her universe to play her, had been flung back into the universe Jack was in, and she jumped back to Earth.

Jack figures out what had happened, after he reads Sadie's journal, and tries to get her back. In the end of the last season, season 4, Sadie dies trying to get back into Jack's universe with him. Her body was worn too thin to travel between universes, and she just dissapeared.

It was a very sad story, really, it made me cry every time. Sfter the end of season 2, I decided to text Dean.

How are things?

I put the phone down on my blanket and unpaused the first episode of season 3. It buzzed on my leg and i jumped pressing the pause button once again.I picked up the phone and touched the green button.

"Castiel," Dean's voice came out of the speaker.

"Dean," I replied, trying to imitate his phone.

"I saw your phone cover when you were over here,"

"And?"

"That series? SUA? Yeah so, i'm watching it. I'm almost at the end of season 3."

"Do you like it?" I said enthusiastically and straightened up on the bed.

"Are you kidding me!? Yes! But it destroyed me! Just that Sadie was sent back to her universe without Jack! I can't even..." Dean launched into a story of everything that happened, but I already knew. It was funny, how this story about love and supernatural beings can get two guys to be so obsessed with it.

Dean was silent for a few seconds, me too. "So when can I see you?" He asked shyly.

"Well i can't see you if you haven't finished SUA." I exclaimed.

"What!?" Dean said enthusiastically "Call you when i'm done." Dean exclaimed and the line went dead. I laughed to myself.

The next morning, I got up and studied for a few hours, before my mum finally pulled me out of my room to leave the house. We went shopping, I just walked along, wanting to check my phone, but I had left it at home. We put the shopping in the back of the car and went to get something to eat at a Mexican restaurant.

We drove home, talking about the way the tortillas were undercooked. When we got home, it was dark out. I pulled my oxyge ncart to my room, and collapsed on the bed panting. The stairs put up quite the fight today. After a few minutes of staring at the light blue of my ceiling, I reached for my phone. I had four messages from Dean.

WHAT

CASTIEL, YOUR FEATHERY ASS BETTER TELL ME MY DVD SET IS MISSING THE LAST DISC.

Oh my goddd. Is Sadie alive or what?!

So she just dies, and floats inbetween universes? Who wrote this show, Satan? I hope you're okay.

I smiled at the phone and made my way to the backyard, to call Dean. I sat down on the cool slightly wet grass and looked up at the stars.

"Cas." Dean answered on the very first ring.

"Dean, did you like the end-" I stopped and listened to the grunting noises coming from the other side of the call "Dean what are you doing?"

"Me? Nothing," He said "It's Ebony. Hey, Ebony? You know Cas from Support Group? Do you want him to come?" I heard a muffled "I don't care." And Dean sighed.

"How soon can you be here?"

"I'll be over in 15." I said and disconnected getting up.

Dean's house wasn't very far from mine, just a few blocks down from the park, whish is a few blocks down from my house. So just a few blocks away. I quickly pulled a comb through my hair and washed my mouth out.

Pulling the tank behind me, i made my way to the front door and rang the doorbell. Sam opened the door.

"Cas," Sam beamed "hi." My heart sank. I had forgotten about Sam, Dean wouldn't leave him, they lived together.

"Hey um, I understand that you and Dean..." I started awkwardly pulling at the ends of the sleeves of my jacket.

"What about us?" Sam asked knitting his eyebrows together in confusion and leaning on the door frame.

"I'm not trying to you know... Get inbetween you two." I avoided Sam's eyes. Sam laughed.

"You thought that we..." He started but burst out laughing again "he's my brother." heat flooded my cheeks, a weight lifting off of my shoulders. His brother. Funny.

"Come in." Sam chuckled and went to sit down at the table, flicking through a book. I walked down the corridor to Dean's room. A weird grunting noise flooded out from the bottom of the door. I opened it and walked in.

"Cas," Dean beamed "you came!" I glanced behind Dean and saw Ebony clutching her knees in the fetal position on Dean's bed. Dean gestured for me to step out of the room. He came out behind me and quietly closed the door behind him.

"Her boyfriend cheated on her..." Dean said gently. I nodded sadly.

"Hey," I said crouching down hext to Ebony's rocking body "how are you?"

"How'd ya think I am?" She snapped. I sighed.

"Anyway," Dean beamed towards me "SUA.... THEY CAN'T END IT LIKE THAT!"

"Yeah... I know." I wondered over to Dean.

We talked about SUA, while Ebony screamed into a pillow.

"Sorry-" Dean interrupted "Ebony! Pillows don't break. Try something that does." Dean grabbed a wooden board and handed it over to the girl. She nodded and proceeded to smash it on the floor.

"Ummm....?" Sam's voice drfited down the hallway.

"Don't wory Sammy! We're fine in here!" Dean laughed, his eyes skimming over my face. I felt a blush start to creep up my neck and put my hands to my face, feeling the coldness of my palms calm the redness.

"That's the thing about our worlds," Dean started smiling at me shyly "they weren't meant to collide."
