Sesshoumaru and Kagome (A SesshxKag story)

Chapter three

Oh my poor Lord! Having to deal with two human brats. Female, no less! Besides, why would he let them travel with us? Jaken thought.

Having Rin was bad enough, but he had to admit that at times he enjoyed her company. Now Kagome is worse! Sure, she had proven herself by killing a few demons, obtaining jewel shards at times.

"Girl."

"Yes?" Kagome asked, stopping behind the demons. Sesshoumaru turned around and saw Rin asleep on the miko's back.

"Go to that village and see what you can find out. Leave her here with us."

Kagome solemnly nodded before letting Rin slide off her back. Then she disappeared in between the trees and bushes. After awhile, she came back. She shook her head and sat down next to Rin who was beginning to stir.

He couldn't stand this! Jaken would not tolerate this human girl traveling with them. Just then, Kagome tensed, her eyes flickering around the trees."Naraku! No...this aura is weaker...a puppet! It has to be. It also has a jewel shard," she said, standing up.

Just as Jaken was about to retort when he heard a chuckle."Sharp as ever, Kagome." Naraku's puppet said, coming into view."Tell me, has that InuYasha left you again for Kikyo?"

"Shut up, Naraku!" Kagome said, grabbing her bow and arrows from the ground. She aimed at him with a scowl on her face.

When she released the arrow, Sesshoumaru swung Tokajin, destroying the puppet. Jaken could not believe it. His master had just used a human's power! Maybe traveling with them was making him softer. It had been weeks since they had picked up the miko from her injuries.

He only hoped that InuYasha would come and get her soon. Then, Rin finally woke up, but she was blushing profusely.

Sesshoumaru looked down at the girl."Rin, are you hungry?"

Rin's eyes widened and her blush deepened. She nodded slowly, before replying,"Yes, Lord Sesshoumaru..."

"Jaken."

"Yes mi lord!" Jaken said, jumping to attention.

"Take Ah-Un, Rim and the Priestess to get food." Sesshoumaru said, slowly sitting down.

"Yes...mi lord..." Jaken grumbled, doing what he was told.

"Are you going to come into the village with us or are you going to wait in the forest?" Kagome asked, glancing at Jaken.

"I'll wait here, you lame priestess."

"Fine with me, toad."

Jaken was about to retort, but the teenager and the small girl had already left.
