Mark pulls into a parking lot on Hollywood boulevard.

"Why are we on Hollywood boulevard?" I ask as he gets out of the car. I stay in the car. He comes and opens my door. "I'm not getting out of this car until you tell me where I'm going."

He doesn't say anything just picks me up.

"Mark. I will scream. You know I can scream bloody murder." I threat.

He let's me down.

"Will you please just trust me?" He asks. He smiles. Damn that smile. He flashes that smile and I'm done.

I sigh. He smirks and starts walking again. We go into an alley. Mark starts to climb up a ladder.

"Should we be doing this?" I ask.

"Dont worry, step dad number 3 owns this building. Were still close." He explains. I laugh and climb up with him.

We get on top of the roof. We sit on the ground. It's kind of uncomfortable.

"Okay you've left me in suspense for long enough. Why did you bring me up here?"

"I thought you would like it." He shrugs. "I go up here sometimes after we lose a game or I bomb a mayhem test. The city looks almost still from up here."

I look over at the skyline. It's beautiful. The sky almost looks like there are stars. It's hard to see them in L.A.

"It does, doesn't it." I smile. I lean back a little more.

I look over at him. He leans in and I do the same. Our lips connect. I sit up so I can get closer to him. He puts his hands on my face to try and get me closer.

I pull away from him. "We have to stop." I say.

"Why?" He asks kissing down my neck.

"Because." I push him off me. "Cass."

He stops and looks up at me. He moves back from me.

I stand up. "I'm sorry I should go. I'll call an uber." I start to walk to the ladder.

"Wait." I here him say. I turn around. He combs his hands through his fingers. He looks over at me. "Do you think I wanted to fall for my sister's best friend? The girl I've known since she was born. No. But it happened." He raises his voice.

I have tears in my eyes. "Do you think I wanted to fall for you. I tried so.... hard not to. But here I am. " I say.

He steps closer to me. Our lips lips connect again. It gets heated. But I know nothing is going to happen.

My first time will not be on the top of a building on Hollywood boulevard. I want to be more romantic. Maybe in a bed. That might be a good idea.

We makeout for a little while. Than my phone rings.

I look at it.

"Oh shit it's  my parents." I say.

"Answer." He says simply.

"Hello." I say fixing my hair as if they will know its messed up.

"Skyler Elizabeth Flynn. It is 1 in the morning where are you?" My mother asks.

"Um. I'm with Cass." I lie.

"I didn't say you could go to Cassandra's. I want you home. Now!" Its her mom voice. I hate that voice.

"I'll be there in 20." I say. I hand up the phone and look at Mark. "We have to go." I stand up and start heading down the ladder.

Mark follows me.

We get down and start to the car.

We arrive and get in. Mark starts the car. We pull out of the parking lot. Mark puts his hand on my thigh. I remove it.

"What?" he asks.

I sigh. "Will you pull over for a second ?"

He does. He turns off the car. He moves to look at me.

"Okay. We need rules." I say.

"Okay." He says cautiously.

"One. No one may know. At least until I figure out a way to tell Cass." He nods in a agreement." Two. I set the pace. I've never had a real boyfriend as you know."

"Of course. Sky I would never do anything you weren't comfortable with." He puts his hand on mine..

"Okay. Well that's all I can think of." I laugh.

He smiles and we start our ride back to the house.

We pull into my driveway.

"Thank you." I say.

"Hey are you coming to my mother's Halloween party in a few weeks?" He asks.

"Yea. My whole family is going. I think my parents want to do a family costume." I laugh. I get out of the car. "Goodnight Markus."

"Goodnight Skyler." He smiles.

I close the car door. I start my walk to my house. I open the front door and walk in.

"Skyler. Was that Mark's car? Why did he give you a ride home?" My mother says sternly.

"Because everyone else had already left. And I was stuck cleaning up the booth. So was he." I lie.

"You've been getting alot of rides from him lately." My brother says from the doorway.

"Yea Cass has been a little busy lately." I shrug.

He mumbles something under his breathe, laughs, than walks off.

I turn back to my parents

"Go to your room. You are grounded. For 1 week for breaking curfew." Mom crosses her arms.

"Dad. Please. A week is so unfair." I say.

Hes about to say something but his phone buzzes. "I'm sorry honey. I have to go to the hospital." She kisses my mother's head. "Skyler. I think a week of being grounded is a good idea." He grabs his coat and walks out the door.

"Skyler. Go to your room. We will talk about your grounding in the morning." She says.

I groan and walk upstairs to my room. I may be grounded, but it was so worth it.
