Jimin shoved through the bakery door and headed back to the kitchen. "Finally, I was wondering if you were ever going to show up today, you're coffee's getting co-" Yoongi said, cutting himself off as he turned and saw Jimin standing there instead of his boss. "Jimin?" He asked, frowning. "What are you doing here?"

Jimin just frowned back in confusion, looking down at the steaming coffee at y/n's usual workspace. "You make y/n coffee?" He asked, looking back up at the older cat.

"Don't you?" He asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

"She usually makes the coffee," the younger replied, his eyebrows still wrinkled in confusion.

"Okay..." Yoongi said, his ears twitching in annoyance, "but you still haven't told me why you're here and she isn't." Jimin's eyes focused, shaking his head and picking up the coffee before sipping it tentatively. He made a face and walked over to dig the cream out of the fridge, splashing a generous amount into the cup and glaring at the older cat who just shrugged in response. "She doesn't take cream in her coffee."

"Why do you know that?" Jimin asked in annoyance, stirring the cup.

"Because I've worked with her for months now Jimin and I make her coffee every time now tell me, what the hell is going ON?" He said, yelling the last word and stepping closer to the younger cat. He hung his head and set the coffee down in response.

"She - I don't know what to say hyung. Y/n is..." broken he thought, not knowing how to voice his worries to the older cat.

"Jimin," he said, gripping the grey cat's shoulder. "Tell me what happened. Now." Jimin took a deep breath and obeyed, telling the dark cat everything that had happened in the bakery the day before. Yoongi listened intently, not interrupting until he had finished.

"S-So, I told Hobi hyungie that I would work today so we didn't have to close the bakery," Jimin sniffed, wiping away a tear that had escaped during his story. Yoongi blinked, taking in everything he had been told. He sighed and then stepped forward before wrapping his arms around the younger cat and pulling him into his embrace. Jimin froze in surprise for a moment, but the older cat didn't let go, so he allowed himself to sob against his shoulder for a few moments before pulling back and wiping his cheeks. "Thank you hyung," he whispered. "I feel so helpless."

"Well, first things first," Yoongi said, grabbing Jimin's wrist and pulling him out to the coffee machines. "I'm going to show you how to make coffee the way y/n likes it. Somebody has to take care of her when I'm not around," he said, smirking at the younger cat who scowled in return. Yoongi showed Jimin how to work the machines, and although the younger cat insisted that he knew how to do it he watched intently. "Then when it's done y/n likes her coffee black with two sugars," he finished, gesturing to the sweeteners. "I like to have it waiting for her when she gets here because she always gets excited about it and smiles really big," the older cat was saying, a soft smile ghosting across his own lips as he turned to look at the younger. But when he did he saw that Jimin's eyes were shining with tears, the corners of his lips turned down sadly. "What is it?" He asked.

Jimin blinked and a single tear escaped to track down his round cheek as he looked up at Yoongi. "Hyung...I feel like, like she might never smile like that again. Like the y/n that I love is gone and instead there's this...empty person and I-" he choked as a sob broke through, covering his face in his hands.

Yoongi shushed him and pulled his hands back from his face, gripping his wrists and looking into his eyes reassuringly. "She isn't gone Chim. The girl you love is still in there so don't give up on her. We'll get her back, Alright?" He asked, peering at the younger cat. Jimin slowly nodded in agreement. "One thing at a time though, right? Let's get to work so we can keep the bakery open for her." Jimin wiped his cheeks and nodded again, determinedly. The two of them headed back to the kitchen to start the day.
