Harry Styles was one of the most closed off; secretive; private people, you'd ever meet. He was covered with tattoos along his arms and a few on his chest, yet nobody knew what they meant besides Harry himself. Even his best mate, Liam Payne; who Harry would trust with his own life, didn't know their meanings. Harry was supposed to be a sophomore in college, except he never did like the whole school thing. If it weren't for his wealthy family, he'd be homeless and on the streets. Harry was the type of guy to party, drink, fuck, and forget. And since Harry was so rarely seen on campus, on the rare days he did show up; he had always made a scene.
Liam had gotten Harry up & out of bed to discuss something down at the local cafe. Harry was especially grumpy since it was only six thirty in the morning when he was rudely awakened. Harry grumbled as he was left alone at the booth in the small cafe, Liam getting up to order something for the two. Harry got up to go to the bath room, turning around the corner and knocking somebody over; soapy, dirty water flooding the floor. Harry groaned and looked who he had run into and was surprised to see a young girl with her hair tied back in a ponytail, and all black converse on her feet.
"I-I'm so so so so sooooo sorry, sir! Oh gosh! Do you need help, sir?" she asked quickly, standing up but slipping in the water and falling back to her butt again. Harry laughed and so did she after awhile; still wearing a dark red blush upon her cheeks. He noticed the brown apron she wore over her white and black sweater along with some dark wash jeans.
"I'm Harry." he introduced himself, reaching out to shake the girl's hand. She smiled and shook his hand back. Her hand felt so delicate against Harry's rough one. He felt as if he were to squeeze it too hard, it'd shatter like fine china.
"Vivian." she nodded, pulling her hand back and resting it back behind her; supporting her weight. "I like your tattoos." Vivian added, Harry smiling and thanking her. Vivian, Harry thought; it rolled off the tongue perfectly. "What's your favourite desert?" she asked, Harry caught off guard with the random question. He thought for a moment before answering;
"I'd have to say cookie dough." he answered finally.
"I'm more of a cheesecake enthusiast myself." she answered confidently; as if she was proud mother who's son got on the honour roll.
"Cheesecake?" Harry asked, chuckling.
"Why of course! Cheesecake is one of the best things to happen to the earth since television." she answered back, Harry laughing.
"So you love cheesecake, correct?" he pushed.
"Duh!" she scoffed, "I'd rather date cheesecake than a boy any day." she said crossing her arms over her chest.
"And why is that darling?" Harry asked, adding in the pet name to see if it threw her off at all; which it did not.
"Because cheesecake would actually listen to you." she shrugged, as if it were obvious.
"I bet I could get you to like me more than cheesecake." Harry smirked, her laughing sarcastically.
"I highly doubt that, my dear Harold." she smiled softly.
"May I see your phone Miss Vivian?" Harry asked, holding out his hand.
"As long as I get to see yours." she fired back, holding out her hand.
They swapped phones, putting in their numbers. Harry saved his name as "Cool tattoo dude" thinking he was clever, along with the little poo emoji. As they both stood up, making sure they didn't slip, they gave each other a nod and a smirk from Harry. On the way back to the table, Harry looked down at her contact, and he may have cracked a smile seeing as what she put her name in as; "Cheesecake" with the little red wine emoji. As Harry sat back at the table Liam jumped a little.
"Jesus mate! What took you so long?" Liam asked.
"Made a little bet with someone." he smirked remembering the girl.
"Bet?" Liam questioned.
"Well I ran into a g-" Harry paused. "To shorten it up I basically have to make someone fall in love with me." Harry leaned back, hands behind his head.
"Fall in love? With you? Mate, you don't even know what love is! You only know what a good fuck is! You won't-" Liam rambled, making Harry a little angry that his best friend doubted he could do this.
"I may not know what love is all about Li, but I will be able to get this girl to like me more than her precious cheesecake." he scoffed.
"Cheesecake?" Liam asked, confused.
"Oi, let me just tell you the whole story then!" Harry said rolling his eyes.
.
After Harry explained this whole bet to Liam, he still didn't think Harry could actually pull it off.
"Mate, I'm not saying that you can't get someone to fall in love with you; all I'm saying is that you won't be able to get this girl to like you more than her cheesecake." Liam shrugged leaning back.
"She seems so innocent, she'll be an easy catch." Harry shrugged back.
"Haven't you ever heard the saying, "Good girls are bad girl that haven't been caught."?" Liam asked.
"Well then I do hope I get to see this bad side of this good girl act she's playing." Harry rolled his eyes sarcastically laughing at the thought. Vivian couldn't be a bad girl. It seems as if she doesn't have one bad bone in her petite figure. Harry looked up in time to see Vivian leaving, turning her head and locking eyes with Harry before softly waving goodbye and leaving. Liam cleared his throat looking back at Harry before adding;
"Harry mate, you don't have a chance against this girl."
