Chapter 5

Michelle POV

While I was sleeping. I felt my fingers being moved onto my phone. I slightly woke up not making it noticeable and turned onto my side but it was already too late. I peeped out of one eye to see Terrance going through my phone.

"I know you're not sleeping" he whispered in my ear.

I slowly got up and he looked angry. This is really bad. I was just going to make the decision to officially leave Jay alone because this wasn't healthy at all. I was doing sneaky things behind Terrance back and dragging Jay along. I've known Terrance since we were 13 years old. He knows me family and I know his. I should've tried to work things out before I went out doing these things to him.

"I-"

"Shut the fuck up" he interrupted me before I could even get a word out. "I'm going to read every text message out loud and you're going to explain what the fuck is this"

He read all the messages between Jay and I. He even showed me nudes I sent him and everything.

"Now explain" he said waiting for me to give a response.

"I-I-I thought you didn't love me anymore. You put work before me and had me wait four years before even waiting to officially get married. I was just tired of already acting like a wife and straining all the fun out of my life just so you could treat me life I didn't matter"

"You see-" He chuckled. "If you would've confessed to this when I came home we would be fine. Now, I don't even care anymore. Do you think I'm going to want to marry a woman who immediately opens her legs to any other guy who's being nice to her while I'm gone on a business trip?"

"I-I'm sorry" I cried.

"Pack your shit and get the fuck out of my house" he said so brutally.

"Please we could work this out"

"Go live with that guy you cheated on me with"

"Terrance we've known each other since middle school. I don't have anywhere else to go"

"I'll call your mother to come get you" He said. I know my mom would be furious about this. She adores Terrance.

"Please Terrance" I cried but he didn't care. I eventually stayed up all night packing my bags. While I was packing, Terrance didn't look at me nor speak to me. In the morning, I went off to my mom's house. Terrance didn't even say bye to me. I know I hurt him dearly. My mom wasn't very happy to see me. I know Terrance already told her everything.

This job as a teacher doesn't really pay much so I don't know how I'm going to come up with the money to leave this house immediately.

"How could you let a man like Terrance slip from your fingers?" She scolded me in Spanish.

I couldn't respond because I knew I was wrong. I should've at least told him what was going on. I tried to hide it and snuck out for a pleasurable night. Jay is not even speaking to me because I didn't want a serious relationship.

I spent the majority of the day in my room. The room that I basically grew up in. All it did was bring old memories of Terrance and I. When we started dating and I had to sneak him in from when he actually met my mom. He was there for me through everything from when my dad passed to when my mom lost her job. I was being selfish. I was only thinking about myself.

I was-

My phone ringing interrupted my thoughts. I look at my phone and seen that it was Simon. I answered it not wanting to drown in my own depression.

"Hello" I answered in a shaky voice.

"Were you crying?" He asked sounding worried. "What's wrong?"

"It's nothing" I lied.

"Come on, let me pick you up so I could cheer you up"

"Ok, I'll get dressed" I said lightening up a little. I don't want to stay at home sobbing anymore. " I'll text you the address" I told him before hanging up.

I texted him the address to my mom's house and told him to park across the street because I know my mom will throw a fit knowing that another man that's not Terrance is picking me up and taking me out.

I took a shower and got dressed. Shortly after, he texted me that he was outside.

"And where are you going?"

"I'm going for a walk"

"You're going for a walk at 8:30 at night?"

"Yes mom I do it everyday" I lied.

"Mhm" She hummed before leaving me alone.

I went outside and immediately got into Simon's car and we drove off.
