Chapter 7

Michelle POV

I was helping Simon set things up for his date with Destiny. She finally gave in and decided to meet up with him. I was kind of sad that she actually gave him another chance because I know they will get back together and I won't be able to hang out with him like I have been for these past two weeks. Plus, the more I'm around him the more I fall for him.

He gave me the strength to actually start getting over Terrance. Even though Terrance calls me to check up on my every single night. I was suppose to meet up with him today but, I chose to be here with Simon.

Jay is still ignoring me. I texted him last night and still got no response. I really miss his company although it was rarely innocent.

"I hope she likes it" Simon said.

"Yeah me too" I tried to sound interested but I wasn't. I honestly don't even want him to chase her or anyone in that matter. Well other than me of course. But, I don't think he likes me. I've seen pictures of her and she's very pretty plus, she has a lighter skin tone than me and that's probably his type. I don't think Simon really likes girls my color or at least would even be in a relationship with one.

My thoughts were interrupted by a text message.

Terrance: So your mom told me you have a guy picking you up

Me: He's just a friend

Terrance: if you're with him right now go home. I have a surprise for you 

I left him on read because he doesn't have a surprise for me. He just doesn't want me out with Simon.

"You know Jay has been asking for you"

"But he ignores my text messages"

"You know how he is. He's just difficult but he really like you"

"I guess"

"I invited him and he's going to be here in a couple of minutes"

"You could at least gave me a heads up. I look a mess right now"

" not true. You always look stunning. If I weren't pursuing Destiny....." a smile started to grow on my face. "I'd totally hit that" he said ruining the moment.

That's when Jay and Gray came. My heart was bearing rapidly when I seen Jay. I haven't seen him in a while. I have mixed feelings towards him. I want to be angry because he wasn't there for me but at the same time I want to be in his arms.

"Woah who's all this for?" Gray asked.

"A girl" I answered for Simon.

"Chanel?" Jay asked.

"Who's that?" I asked.

"No one important" Simon gave Jay the death stare.

"Hey we should go outside for a while" Gray said to Simon.

"But I don't want to go outside" Simon responded.

"Let's go" Gray dragged Simon out of the room leaving me and Jay alone.

"You know I've missed you" he finally spoke to me after we sat there in complete silence.

"That's hard to believe" I responded.

"What? You seriously don't think I miss you?"

"No, you weren't even there for me when I was going through that mess with my ex fiance"

"I didn't know how to respond"

"I just don't think I can be involved with someone who can't even be there for me"

"You wouldn't even let me be your boyfriend"

"Because I don't want one!"

"But you're all over Simon like you prefer him over me"

"YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING" I yelled in frustration walking away. Even though it's true. I really do like Simon but, he has his eyes on someone else so I just look dumb trying to get him to look my way.

Later on that day...

Jay POV

"Where is Michelle living now?" I asked Simon.

"So you're finally going to chase after her?"

"Yeah I want to do it in a way where her mom can forget about Terrance"

"Ok I'll give you her address" Simon said. "But...if you fuck up I'll just have to come and rescue her"

I side eyed Simon because earlier today Michelle was helping him set up a romantic dinner for another girl.  If he does anything with Michelle I'll mess up any relationship he has with someone he cares about.
