A/N: @TheDiamondWolfGirl  I finally uploaded, HAH! Oh and enjoy!

Nice to see you again' the voice said walking into the dim light made by the moon.

'It sure has been a while... Gabi' I replied, completely shocked at her sudden appearance.

'We've spent enough time in Canada, so my mum let my brother and I come back and board until we finish school' she explained.

'Ahh, that makes sense, what room are you in?' I asked.

'532' she answered simply. Just down the hall from me...

'Why would you come back at the end of the first term? I mean schools in the US and Canada don't usually end until May' I said (Sorry if I got that wrong).

'Well I was sick of the weather there and I wanted to come back as soon as I could' Gabi smiled weakly, 'And besides, I got accepted to go here at the end of last year and we had...' she breathed 'moving issues'.

Instead of coming up here for a breath of fresh air to clear my head, it was now filled with questions and more confusion due to the sudden reappearance of an old friend. Was there good intentions, or was it just plain bad? I suddenly realised that I could no longer stay up on the roof.

'Then I guess I'll see you tomorrow' I said and began my descent down the stair and back to my room.

*****NEXT MORNING*****

I woke up with the intention of telling everyone about mine and Gabi's talk on the rooftop at midnight. I was already running late so I was in a major rush to get ready. I almost tripped down the stairs from running so fast.

Breakfast was uneventful as per usual. Just the same drama and gossip that usually gets discussed in the dining hall. And just the same morning announcements. At least today was a Friday and Monday was a public holiday, so we had a long weekend to look forward to. I walked over to our usual table, eager to discuss the reappearance of an old friend, but before I could say a word I was hushed by Natalie from across the table. We were still all cracking up at her ability to lose the school badge that goes on our uniforms.

'We will be conducting uniform checks so please tidy yourselves up a bit' Mrs. Sanderson announced.

We all turned to Nat and saw her face drop, chuckling to ourselves. Tahlia let out her obnoxious laugh.

'You're so screwed' Briana said, a large grin creeping onto her face.

'And Miss Natalie Howes, what might you be doing without your school badge?' we all turned out heads to look at Ms Brockley who had her lips pursed.

'I've lost mine, I was planning to go to the uniform shop after breakfast' we all knew she was lying, the uniform shop isn't open on Fridays before a long weekend.

'Lying to a teacher as well?' Ms Brockley questioned, 'Afternoon detention on Tuesday, no exceptions'

'Why is it always me?' Nat whined before she was quickly hushed by the other teachers.

'All students are to be reminded that there will be an emergency meeting this morning' Mrs. Sanderson said, 'this is to discuss some serious matters, so anyone caught skipping without teacher's permission will receive some serious consequences'.

Everyone was confused, and scared. We knew that they only call emergency meetings if something really bad has happened. Last time one was called, someone got expelled and our school almost got shut down. So here we sit now, in the spacious auditorium, waiting for what could be the end of our school.

A/N: A short chapter, but I found my love for cliff hangers all over again!
