A/N: This teenage post describes my entire group😂
Turns out classes were exactly as we thought they would be, boring and uneventful. I mean, exams start on Monday and we haven't even started studying yet.
'UGH! It's like we actually have to learn stuff!' Nat whined one day at lunch. 'I mean why can't we just sit out here in the courtyard everyday and just write and whatnot?'
'Because we go to a school where we sort of have to learn...' Claire said back without opening her decaffeinated eyes. Someone really needs to get that girl some coffee.
'We should all go to my room tonight, that way we can all study together and help each other out with our assignments' I said, half dead myself. This week had been exhausting to say the least.
'I'm in, so long as there's party pies!' Nat said with a sudden burst of energy.
'I'll make some!' Lauren said, also with a sudden burst of energy.
'Cool, because I'm sure if I just touch them I'm going to burn the life out of them' Gen said as she took a seat on the edge of the water fountain.
'I don't want to go to class' Phoebe complained.
'Sameeee' everybody chimed in.
'I just wanna go back to bed and sleep for eternity' Loredana said. And to our complete dismay...
RIIIIIIING!
5th period starts in 5 minutes... UGH! And I had art theory which was all the way over near the music and drama theory classrooms... in the back corner of the school!
**in class**
I took a seat next to Maddy. Last year I was told that I had to extension theory for all of my classes since I aced all of my tests, so I do theory with Maddy and then my practical classes with the others.
'Who's ready to hear about how we have to take a test in a week and a half and need to study really hard because we're so behind!' Maddy said in a sarcastically cheerful voice.
'Not me' I said back whilst resting my head on my arms, trying to at least rest for my last two minutes of freedom.
'Naw! Don't worry Kook! I'm going to be the one that fails' Maddy said patting my back.
'Yea but at least you take these classes at your level! I mean I'm supposed to be in the second years class, but I ended up with the third years instead!' I whined, 'UNNIE HELP!'
'OKAY GIRLS! WE'RE VERY BEHIND SO WE NEED TO START STUDYING FOR NEXT WEEKS TEST!' Mrs. Foster said as she came walking through the door, with a large stack of papers balancing in her arms.
Time for study I guess.
**end of class**
I mean, my study wasn't too bad. I only had a speech for English and a report for science so other than that I just had exams which were quite easy to study for. At Katerina's School for Art Excellence, we do our assessments in a practical and theoretical form that makes up an 'Evaluation' that gets reviewed at the end of each term, semester and then eventually, year. How you do in your evaluations determines what class you end up in. So for theory, I was in the top class and I aced all of my evaluations last year, so I had to move up to the next year in the middle class. But I couldn't move up for practical's because they're about gaining and practicing your skills. And I was legitimately screwed.
'Why is the second-year theory so hard!' I complained that night as we were in my room studying together and eating party pies.
'Oh its always been!' Maddy said in her derpy meme voice.
'Heh, I don't have to do extension theory, let alone actually do Maddy's theory' Liv laughed.
'I'll go get some more party pies' Lauren said, and I only just realised that Nat ate most of them.
I looked over at Tahlia sitting next to me, who, as per usual, was just looking up random Korean words and songs.
'Tahlia you really need to start doing some study, Evaluations start next week' I told her cautiously, knowing that she probably hasn't done much work in the past hour.
'I'm so bored and I don't know what to do!' she complained.
'That's a mood' Liv chuckled.
'DONE! I now give up on this world!' Claire said in an exhausted voice. She, like the rest of us, was a real procrastinator and only did work when she could be bothered and right before the due date.
'Cool, you can help Tahlia then, she'll need the help' Lauren said as she walked back through the door with a mound of party pies and sausage rolls.
'Now we can just skip dinner and the awkward human interactions!' Claire rejoiced as she went straight for the closest piece of food.
'You gonna eat?' Tahlia asked me.
'When I finish this sentence, I will' I said back before quickly finishing and diving into some food.
*** midnight **
After tossing and turning for hours on end, I decided to just go up to the rooftop and sit there for a while until I would finally feel some form of sleep.
As I stumbled up the stairs and out onto the balcony, I stared up at the starry night sky, reflecting on my past term. The silence around me was comforting and peaceful, a perfect end to a stressful day. Until an unfamiliar voice whispered into the night.
'Long time no see'
