"The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them".-Ernest Hemingway

(Before she meet Luca)
Amelia POV.

I only had two hours of sleep last night once I got home from one of my fights
It was already 4 in the morning. I had three fights last night. One of the longest fights I've ever had was with this dude who just wouldn't go down like come on fall over already anyways

I still have to keep my perfect attendance up at school and my grades so I got up from my bed and went to the bathroom and did my business I went into my closet and grabbed some regular jeans a white shirt and a black leather jacket from my closet and yes I have many.

I grabbed my phone and my book bag and jogged downstairs the house is always empty since the death of my father my mom died when i was 5 from cancer and from that day on its always been me and my dad until he was shot coming home from a fight one of the guys that lost to him got angry and killed him thats why i fight i was only 12 when my dad was killed he taught me how to fight before he died. He was one of the best. I was brought out of my thougts by the ringing of my phone

"hey amelia are you piking me up today"
"yeah I'm just about to get out of the house"
"okay I'll be waiting"

I hung up on the phone call with my friend Grace. Grace is one of my closest friends we've been friends since I could remember her dad and my dad were friends and her parents took care of me when he died Grace can also fight but she doesn't fight for money like I do I grabbed an apple from the basket on my counter and grabbed my motorcycles key that laid next to the basket I walked out the house to the driveway

"Hey baby I've missed you" I said talking down to my motorcycle that was a black Harley-Davidson it was beautiful I don't let anyone Drive I swing my leg over the motorcycle put in my helmet and started it and drove off to Grace's house.

I reached Grace's house in less than a minute where she was already waiting for me at her front porch

"No,no Amelia I'm not getting on that deathtrap"

"Come on Grace it's not that scary once you get used to it"

"I'm not getting on that"

"Come on Grace or were going to be late"

"Okay"

Grace slowly walked up to the motorcycle I handed her a helmet and got on and we were off to school I parked in the space I always parked in it was close to the school but away from the other cars nobody's about to scratch my baby

"See it wasn't that scary" I said looking at Grace

"No it definitely was" she said with her eyes wide as she took the helmet off you'll get used to it don't worry

"I don't want to get used to it"

I giggled at Grace's reaction

"Stop laughing at me" she said while hitting me at the back of the head

"Hey that hurts" I said rub in the back of my head

We started our journey to the front of the school which meant going through the courtyard all the students were in their significant groups the populars, the Nerds, the jockeys, and the normals.

So cliche I whisper to myself rolling my eyes everybody started to part like the Red Sea when I started to walk through the courtyard I kept on walking seeing as nobody was in my way until I came across this dude he was talking to his friends and didn't notice me behind him I did a subtle cough to get his attention
