- Ok, let's pretend the puck is in our zone and we need to clear it past the red line. I requested as we started practice.
- Sure. Joey replied.
It went well for the most part until the camp counsellor came around and asked why we were here.
- We just want to practice are hockey skills. I replied.
- Well, it's over now you two need to come with me to fitness.
Shoot, I thought to myself, if only I checked the time I would have known that we should had to leave earlier because we would not have to do 5 extra laps around the field.
- Well that's unfortunate, want to continue tomorrow? Joey asked.
- Sure. I replied. I was getting more excited by the minute, I think I may have got a new friend.
We arrived at the same place as yesterday and practiced but this time I checked the time but beware I will tell you something that made our friendship even bigger.
We were in the middle of our practice when three older kids arrived.
- What are you doing here little boys. They said.
- Nothing of your wanting. Joey replied. I was not expecting him to say that I was expecting him to stand back and be nervous like me.
- Get out of there or else I will punch you both in the face. The tall one said.
- Not happening, we where here first. Joey said without trouble.
The one behind the tall kid came rushing towards us. I went left and Joey ran straight into the tall kid. I was incredible surprised that Joey ran straight towards him knocking him of balance by surprise.
- Do any of you two want to get knocked to the ground like your friend over here. Joey said with by nervous to the older kids. They both ran like if there was a tornado right behind him. When Joey was saying that a found the longest pice of rope I could fine and tide the kid up.
- So what did you learn? I asked the tall kid stuck in the rope.
- To not mess around with little kids. He answered.
- If we untie you, you must do thirty push-ups. We said.
- Fine but only if you untie me. He said. It was a fun lunch brake and we both realized that we work well as a team.
