As I stepped into the house, the smell of cinnamon came to my nose an I breathed it in. I looked at the huge kitchen and walked into the living room. The rafters had christmas lights wrapped around them and the couch was right below. There was a fireplace and on top of it was a TV. We had already had the big stuff transported and set up, so that we could just move in and put everything together. I walked upstairs to pick a room. Luckily my bed was already in the room and I could plop down on it, a different U-haul had taken some of the big stuff here last week and I had to sleep on the couch back home. Soon after I unloaded my stuff out of the truck I went downstairs to sit down. Dad had already made dinner so I chowed. After a long time of unpacking, I was exhausted and my feet trudged up the stairs to bed.

11:25
The familiar sound of the strange wind woke me up. But this time it was bigger. It hollered really hard, that scared me. I disappeared under my blanket and held on to my pillow, ready to width stand this for the next hour.---------------
I woke up in the morning, having a major headache and I could tell it wasn't going away anytime soon. I sighed and walked over to my mirror, only to see my black hair clustered in a bunch of huge knots. The brush on my dresser was what I found first and combed through it. I got in the shower and then I remembered, today was my first day. My head shook and I stepped out if the shower only to almost slip on the floor. Sighing, I grabbed my clothes and changed into a t-shirt and some skinny jeans. I had nobody to impress so why wear something big? As I trudged down the stairs I heard my father talking to someone on the phone,
"It would be good for her, just keep your distance."
Then he hung up, I went downstairs and grabbed a Twinkie because I wasn't in the mood for a big breakfast. My dad handed me the keys and gave me a hug,
"Hey maybe this might be the year you talk. Here I wrote a letter, whenever someone asks you why you aren't talking just hand them this."
I gave him a smile and went out to the Honda Civic, feeling a little bit better about my first day.-------------
On the ride there, my mind was turning, I kept getting the feeling that maybe today might not be perfect. Santa Monica was a whole new setting and it kinda scared me a bit, since I had never been anywhere other than Malibu. But back where I use to live I was the freak at least that was after I stopped talking. Before I went mute I had many friends and some people wondered why I wanted to give that up. It's probably because of what happened with my mom and how bullied I was. Even though I had friends I wasn't the popular girl, I was more of a joke to them. Something I hope I wouldn't be in this school. Soon, I saw a big brick building and I mean it was huge. I had never seen a school so big. How the hell was I supposed to navigate myself around here? Will they give me a guide? I didn't know, so I parked my Honda in a spot and got out locking it. Not knowing where to go I just followed all the students. Luckily the front office was right through the doors and I clutched on to the letter my father wrote for me, knowing I was going to have to use it. The office lady looked at me and smiled. She looked to be about in her mid fifty's.
"Good morning dear, and don't worry you don't have to give me the letter, your father stopped by the other day and handed it to me."
I nodded and gave her a small smile, she reached down in her desk and handed me after papers.
"This is you scehlude, classes, and planner for the year. Make good use out of all of them and put them somewhere safe."
After that I smiled and she opened up the office doors for me to leave. Luckily my classes were all on the second floor including homeroom. So I went up the stairs to the second floor and found room 48. As I entered a bunch of boys looked up at me. The teacher waved,
"You must be Leyota. Have a seat in any free spot."
The boys in the back stared me down and I rolled my eyes sitting down. They surrounded me,
"Hey newbie. What's goin on?"
He smirked and bit his lip when a much taller guy took hold of his shirt and pulled him back,
"Leave her alone Zach, I'm Jonah."
The kid had dark hair and I noticed a really deep green colored eyes. He held his hand out and I shook it, a little hesitant though.
"And your name is?"
Letter time. I handed him the letter and he opened it not questioning why I had handed it to him.
"Your mute?"
I nodded scared of what he would say next,
"Wow, I never met somebody like you. You can hang with me and Zach."
Zach smirked,
"I guess that's ok."
I nodded and gave them a slight smile as the bell rang, it was officially first period.-------------
Hey guys I hoped you enjoyed this second chapter I promise to maybe post another one today or tommorow. You met 2 of the boys, 3 more to go.😘
