Whenever night would fall, my mother would rock me back and forth in a rocking chair. Every night no matter what had happened, she always would at the same time of night. I was only a small baby and about 4 years old, being a curious child I always refused for her to rock me.
"Mommy I'm to big to be rocked."
"It's ok honey. Play and be good."
I sat in front of her on the floor as she rocked back in forth in her chair. The only thing you could hear was the radio and the little toys that I played with 24/7. My mother than stood up,
"It's time to go to bed honey. Lights out."---------------
Smoke was all around me, police sirens flooded around the area. My body laid on the ground without any feeling, my eyes opened slight to see more smoke going everywhere. The lights came closer and people raced over to me. Paramedics put a mask over me, lifting me onto a stretcher and into the ambulance. My vision blurred, I tried to speak, but no words came out as my eyes drifted and my mouth closed.-------------
Corbyn's POV
The smoke had sourounded all of us. Daniel was running towards me, I looked at her and she screamed. But just before he could change I filled the air with more smoke making it immposible to see. I couldn't even see through my own storm. She laid helplessly on the ground, passed out. I picked up the beautiful girl and carried her a little ways out of the smoke, setting her down away from the fire.
"I'm sorry, I must leave you. I can't get caught, they can't see us in this form."
My finger touched her beautiful cheek and I heard a growl come from the smoke. With one last look at her I ran towards the smoke ready to put all my strength into fighting for her.-----------------
Leyota's POV
11:25. I woke up at this time. The hospital was iluminated with lights. My arms looked bruised and burned like something had collapsed on me. That's when I remembered, the fire. Corbyn left me there to die. I knew I couldn't trust him, there was just no way around it.
"Hey."
I looked up to see Daniel, Jonah, Zach, and Jack in one side of the room. But on the other side sat a sleeping Corbyn. My eyes widened, these boys hate each other and they were in the same room? Daniel sat down next to me,
"Your father went down to the cafeteria for breakfast so we have time to explain."
I wanted to hit him, to scold him, and to ask why. Why did they leave me there to die??
"Last night you passed out from the smoke and Corbyn carried you to a safe spot so he didn't reveal our secret. We couldn't risk it. Plus if he wouldn't have moved you, you would've died."
My eyes went over the the sleeping boy and I pointed to the other 4 boys then the door. They nodded and walked out. My eyes fixed back on the sleeping blonde, his mouth was open a bit and he was letting out really small snores. I got up and went across the room to sit in the chair next to him. As soon as I did though his eyes opened, and as soon as he looked at me I gasped. The beautiful red eyes I once knew were now grey. A deep gray.
"Good morning beautiful. I know, I'm not in my best shape. I fought with the boys all night so my power isn't full."
I stood up and found a piece of paper.
So your eyes lose color as you lose energy??
He smiled,
"Your very smart. That's correct."
Corbyn twisted his body so he was facing me,
"How do you feel?"
I'm fine just a little shaken up. You set a whole house on fire.
His eyes went all around the room and back to me, I gripped the pencil as I wrote,
What are you?
Corbyn shook his head, his hands fidgeting with the strings on the black jacket he wore.
"The boys and I agreed that we shouldn't tell you anything."
So you guys came to a truce?
"Yeah. They hate my guts so much though. I can see why."
A smile crept onto his face and I giggled at how weird he was.
"I can't wait until I can hear you talk. I bet your voice is precious."
I giggled again and rolled my eyes.
Do you know when I'm getting out?
"Probably today. You were practically breathing smoke but there's a high chance that nothing will be wrong and you can go."
Happy to hear this I hugged him, his body tensed up at it but he then stood up picking me up with him. I was attached to the IV machine and he made sure it didn't break when he lifted me. We stayed in the position for awhile, just holding each other and enjoying the presence. He smelled like ashes and it reminded me of the fireplace we had back in Malibu. I missed that house alot since I had grown up there.
"Your gorgeous."
I blushed as he looked at me,
"I don't understand why everything happened years ago. But let's just leave that in the past. "
Holding him, I heard the door click and Daniel walked in, still seeing me in his arms.
"Put her down. "
Corbyn glared,
"You don't tell me what to do. "
Daniel rolled his eyes and sat on the bed, looking at us as we stared at each other. Corbyn spoke,
"I want you to meet up with me in school. "
With a nod, he set me down and looked at Daniel.
"I promise nothing will happen to her."
He growled, and Corbyn laughed.
"Easy. "
His laughter echoed through the room and it was kinda scary.
"I'll leave you and Daniel Be."
And with that he walked out shuting the door.
"You can't trust him. "
Daniel sat down next to me,
"He's bad news."
The color in his eyes were drained out to, taking a deep gray color.
I can trust him. At least he can tell Me the truth about what's going on.
Daniel sighed.
"I guess. Just stay safe."
We got up and hugged, his lips brushing my cheek.-------------------
I noticed there was no end message on my last chapter and I kinda just hit myself for that. Anyways I hope you enjoyed.
