Shadowed

Chapter one

         I wake up excitedly to sound of the alarm."this is your final year in secondary school you have to make the best of it"I think to myself.I had been through a lot over the past after getting bullied by people in school and my dad leaving my mum,I suddenly became weird and not liked by everyone in school.
I look at myself in the mirror and my oversized uniform, I never really got the right size of uniform which sucked.I shake it off by saying "You look good sola" countless times to gain enough confidence.
      
"Sola" my mum calls me from the kitchen telling me to go to school. I get downstairs to see my mum doing the dishes.

"Good morning mum " I say to her.
  
She just looks at me and says "are you excited for today"
  
"mhmmm" I mumble to her.

  After my dad left my mum,me and her lost the connection we once had and we never really spoke to each other.I look at my mum and how she had  changed.After everything my mum rarely smiled and she grew fatter after eating all the junk foods she could get a hold of.I remember nights when my mum would cry herself to sleep then I would also cry myself to sleep.It was a very bad time for us which i hope should never happen again.

   "You should get going, you are running late"she says to me.

     "Okay mum, bye"

   Before going to school,I stop at my bestfriend's house,Faye.
    We have been best friends for three years and it all happened when I was been bullied by some girls in my class and Faye stood up for me and we have been best friends since then.She walks out looking so changed and beautiful.
 
   "Faye you look so beautiful and you aren't wearing your glasses"
    
    "I would still be wearing it but not today "I look at with look of shock on my face.Faye looked like a model with her flawless skin.She is like the cute one in our friendship and I am like the duff but i still love her anyways.
 
  "You don't look bad yourself "oh stop lieing, we all know I look ugly in my ugly uniform"

"No you don't sola,you are beautiful and I don't know  when you will realize this"

"Ok ok enough of the lovey dovey stuff let's get going"

We get to school and I see people looking at us,well not really at us but at Faye.I cant help but feel a little jealous.I mean it's pretty hard feeling like a shadow everytime but Faye always makes it better.

    "oh no,I say to rayo,who is now in front of me.she had bullied me al my life and makes my life a living hell

     " weirdo,Faye looking good by the way" she walks away giving me the stink eye.

      "I have biology right now I will see you in break sola"Faye says to me.

   I spot my childhood friend Justin,he is that boy somehow gets the girls for some reason I don't understand.He is very tall,handsome and has all the traits a girl could ask for but it just seems weird to even think of me and Justin together.Thinking of it makes me want to puke already.But he never cares about what anyone says about me which makes him very important to me.

     "Sola" he shouts my name

   "Dont you think it's illegal to be this loud"i say to him

"School is very unimportant in my life I don't even need it I am going to be dj anyways"he says smiling

"You still need to get good grades even if you want to be a dj"

"Look at all the dj's that are popular they didn't need school and they are making their money"

"Whatever justin I have chemistry"

In chemistry  class,in the process of getting to my seat,i fall on the floor making everyone to laugh in the class. I look up I find out it was rayo who stretched her leg making me to trip.I look at her and she looks with a devils face and smiles.

"Why did you do that her" a boy says from the end of the class.

"Mind your business david"she says to him.

"You know what you do is not cool,you do this to people and think it's funny, you are just sad inside and do this to others to make yourself better"he shrugs

Rayo  scoffs "Whatever "

I can't believe someone just did that.Who knew this could happen.Maybe today can be better.I guess.
