chapter 5 finding a home

*Chat's prob*

I start to go through the list looking for the next person on the list who would take a cat like me in.

I go to different house's asking if they would take me in or not. Every house I knocked on said they "had no room and they didn't want another kid to deal with". I was starting to get hopeless as the last person on my list was marinette. Which I hope she is a cat person because i really don't want to go to foaster care. Who knows who would be my foaster parents or where I would live all I know it could be a person who is taking a trip here and just decided to foaster a teen in a cat suit.

I head  in the direction her house is but somehow I get lost in the process of going their. I sit down on a sidewalk thinking about everything that has ever happened in my life.

*Marinette's pov*

I head down stairs because I heard my parents talking about something that I guessed would be about me which is acually true because as soon as I got fully down the stair's I heard

"The teacher called again saying marinette left the classroom" said my mom letting out a huge sigh.

"Yes I know she called my phone to you know" said my dad putting his hand on top of his temple and rubbing.

"Ever since chloe stopped being friends with her she has started to act off" my mom said

"I thought that chloe was going to be different from her dad not like her dad but hey at least we don't have to worry about buying expencive stuff for chloe" my dad said with a smile

I jumped up from my hidding place grabbing my jacket and my boots then yelling so they can hear "I'm taking a walk" 

"Ok honey be safe" my mom yelled waving to me.

" I will " I yell back right after walking toward the door as I begain to open it I run inside to get my sketch book. Then running outside and started walking toward the park.

When I get their I start walking to the bench. I stop dead in my tracks when I see a person in a cat suit sitting their sleeping. I slowly start to walk closser to the person. Wait chat I said in my head looking at his face. What's he doing out here in the cold with the wind blowing. I looked at him thinking about what I should do. Should I bring him home with me or should I sneak him in without my parents noticing.

The first option would prouble be the easiest but the funest would be the second one definitly. But the question is can I carry him. I slowly put my hands under his legs and my other hand under his neck. Surprisingly he is incredeble light So I can easily lift him without tumbling over my legs. I start to walk in the direction my house is in. I slowly put chat on the chair next to my house then I slowly unlock my front door and open it softly surprisingly nether mom or dad came running to meet me at the door.  So I slowly and carefully slide my hand back under his legs and neck and make my way up stairs slowly. Once I am fully there I put him in my loaf bed. I go back down the stairs and close the front door. I walk over to the coach to see my mom and dad sleeping. I turn down the tv then turned it off. I make my way up the stairs again when I get completely up the stairs I sit next to the loaf bed and lay my head next to the spot that is left over.

*Chat's prob*

I wake up and rub my eyes looking around the room seeing if I'm still sitting on the bench. I raise my head just enough to see marinette sleeping beside my leg. I look at her cute face while she is still sleeping.

she raises her head and looks at me. "your awake already" she says sleepily rubbing her eyes that are red from I'm guessing is not getting enough sleep. 

"May I stay here I ask politly "

"I don't know" she says letting out a yawn

"please I have no where else to go" I say giving her the puppy eyes

*Marinette's prob*

Aww so cute I think looking at him and thinking this over in my head. I nod then say "But on one condition"

"and what might that be marinette? "chat said tilting his head to the side his black ears going to the side as well.

"First you can not let my parents see you at all Ok" I said looking at him I mean someone had to take him in so he wasn't just walking around like a lost puppy dog looking for a home.

"Alright! anything else?" he asked with a smile

"I'n the night you are not aloud to sleep with me you sleep on the loaf bed" I said pointing to the loaf bed he nodded understandingly.

"Ok marinette" chat said smiling.
