He was leaning in. Why was my best friend leaning in? Do I lean in? What.. What am I suppose to do? Kissing him would make our friendship awkward.
"So Liam.." I said, trying to get him to stop leaning in. I could see the disappointment in his eyes.
"You don't wanna kiss me.. do you?"
"It's not that I don't want to kiss you.. It'd make things awkward."
"Awkward? Oh. I think we should be heading back now." He said, sounding more upset than ever.
"Okay.."
He drove me home. It was so awkward. We came to a stop and that's when I decided I needed to talk.
"Thanks for everything. Tonight meant alot."
"Why didn't you want to kiss me?" He said , not even acknowledging what I said.
"It wouldn't feel right, Liam!"
"Why not?" He said, almost screaming.
"Because. You're my best friend. Best friends don't kiss eachother."
"It was a friendly kiss, okay? It wouldn't have meant anything anyways. You mean nothing to me."
"I mean nothing to you? Oh is that why you took me out on this date? Cause I mean nothing? Fine. If i mean nothing, I guess i should be getting out of your car now."
I couldn't help it. Tears just took over my face. It was becoming hard to breathe. Why would he say that to me?
"Bailey.. Please don't cry. I'm sorry, I didn't mean it!"
"You were obviously thinking it, Liam. Why would you say it?"
"I'm hurt, Bailey!"
"I'm hurt." He said again, his voice becoming shaky.
"Tell me why you're hurt, I'm not understanding."
"You don't want to kiss me, which makes me feel like you have no feelings for me whatsoever."
"I have feelings for you! You're my bestfriend!"
"Damnit Bailey! I don't mean best friend. I mean feelings. Real, love feelings."
I couldn't speak. Liam had feelings for me.. This isn't happening.
"Haha. Forget what I said. I don't have feelings for you. Why would I have feelings for a stuck up brat like you? You're so stubborn, and you're always yelling at me."
I jumped out of his car, and ran to my door. I opened it, to hear a yelling after me.
"Bailey, C'mon. Please." Liam screamed, trying to get my attention.
I ignored him. Why would I want to talk to him after what he did to me.
I slammed my front door, and went to the bathroom. I've never cried so hard in my life. I was crying so hard, I started to get sick. I threw up a couple of times, but then I was done crying. I got in my pajamas, and cried myself to sleep.
I woke up the next morning with a major headache. I guess thats what I get for crying so hard. I hate Liam. I hate him so much. His name disgust me. I can't stand him anymore. I couldn't care less if I never spoke to him ever again. Hopefully, he'll leave me alone and I won't have to. I was so upset, I decided to invite Hunter over. I don't care what we did, but I needed to get my mind off Liam.
Eventually, I heard the door bell ring and opened the door, to see Hunter standing there.
"Hey" I said, sounding really pouty.
"Whats wrong?"
"Nothing. Just need some company. Actually there is something wrong.."
I then explained everything that happened between me and Liam.
He hugged me. Then, he pulled my hair to the side and looked me in the eyes.
"Hes an idiot for losing you."
I couldn't take it anymore. I leaned into kiss him and instantly our lips smashed against each other. It took the pain away from everything I was dealing with. The kiss started off slow, but then became very rough. I felt his tongue enter my mouth.
What had I done? I just made a move on Hunter. We basically just made out. The scary thing is.. I felt nothing when I kissed him. No sparks, no nothing. It was a boring, plain kiss. No excitement whatsoever. I don't even think I have feelings for Hunter anymore. I need Liam more than anything right now.
