You Almost Lost Me - A Fruits Basket FanFic One-shot

Anon-Chan-- Hiya  readers! So this is my ' Original Idea' for my story The Cat's Other Half, but I decided to make it  one shot!

Aiyame-san-- Yay! They get to see a different version of how mine and Kyou's relationship is!

Anon-Chan-- Aiyame Mari Sohma! Get your scrawny butt back in the other story! I do not need other people to help with the lead up to the disclaimer!

Aiyame-san-- B-b-but Anon-chan! I want to help ~nya! Besides I am in this story as well so I can help all I want to ~nya!

Anon-Chan-- O.O Who are you and what did you do to Aiyame?

Aiyame-san-- Well, the other story you write my character to have Kyou's personality, so I have a bit of temper issues and yell alot. In THIS story I am almost completely different! Almost like Tohru-chan's personality!

Kyou's P.O.V

"Gahh!!" I yelled as my head flew back and hit a wall. "Damn that hurt!" Rubbing the back of my head where it hit the wall, my master walked up to me.

"Alright Kyou, that is enough training for now. Get up and get yourself cleaned up. She wouldn't want to see you after all this time, beaten up and full of injuries." he scolded me. Damn it I was too into training today I forgot I am also leaving today. Finally get to see her after what, 10 or 11 years now?

"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah I'm going already." I replied, as I made my way to my room.

*Half an hour later*

After almost finishing my packing. I came across a picture that had fallen under the bed. I remember this day, it was of me and my little sister Aiyame. We were standing on our tip-toes trying to both blow out a candle on our 6th birthday cake. That was one of the best days ever, but the following six months after that were just terrible. It all started the day AFTER our birthday.

* Flash Back *

I was walking back from the main house with slumped shoulders, dragging my feet. Hatori had called and said AKito wanted to talk to me. Apparently Aiyame and I are the twins cursed with the Year of the Cat! Well life shouldn't be that bad, right? I sighed and looked up, there I saw our house in the distance. I wasn't pleased to tell Aiyame, or our mother what Akito had told me. The House we live in IS small, but our mother just says, ' It makes us grow closer as a family. '.

After ten more minutes of walking, I finally got to the front door. But the only sounds I heard were Aiyame crying. I wonder what's wrong. Pulling open the door I ran into the house. The pain in my legs from running into the house after that long walk didn't hurt me, it was the scene infront of me. Aiyame was laying next to a dead body crying. The body was such a mess I couldn't tell who it was, but what Aiyame said made me realize who it was.

" Mommy, MOMMY! Please wake up! Wake up mommy, come on, please wake up!" She pleaded.

I felt tears form in my eyes ran bedind her, picked her up and pulled her away from our, now dead, mother. turned to me and burried her face in my chest. " Nii-san....mommy...she....fell....down the stairs....and now she....won't..... wake...up." she tried to say between sobs.

I just hugged her....with our dearest mother now dead, now how am I going to tell her that we are the cursed cat's, and that tomorrow I have to leave for six moths to live with our sensei and train with him to controll my anger. So I do not turn into the true form of the Zodiac Cat. Sighing, I will have to tell her later, I do not want to hurt her more than she is now....
