Chapter 5

*Dani's POV*

I was the first one up so I decided to see if there was enough food to make breakfast for all of us. After searching the cabinets and fridge I found enough to do pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage. I put the coffee on and waited for it to wake the others up. Ryan and Allie came out first.

"Morning. Hungry?" I asked.

"Yeah. Smells good." Allie replied.

"How do want your eggs?" I asked.

"Scrambled, with onions and cheese." They both replied.

I got an onion out and quickly chopped it before I cracked some eggs and beat them with a fork. I poured the eggs into the skillet and added the onions. I added butter to the other skillet and ladled some of the pancake batter into it. While those were browning I poured them both a cup of coffee. I flipped the pancakes and got plates down. I spooned the eggs evenly across the two plates and added two slices of cheese to them.

I added the pancakes and turned ask them what meat they wanted but before I could even get the question out they answered "Bacon."

I distributed the bacon across the plates and sat them down in front of Ryan and Allie. Balz and Ryan Ashley were the next to join us.

"Hey Balz. I didn't get to see you yesterday." I said once I noticed him.

"Hey Dani. Sorry me and Ryan Ash were at the shop." He replied.

"It's okay." I told him.

"It's nice to finally meet you Dani. The guys have told all of us about you and Sam. I'm guessing she's still asleep." Ryan Ashley said.

"Yes she is. It's nice to finally meet you as well. I've seen tons of photos of you and Balz but it's different seeing you in person. Same with Allie and Ryan." I replied.

Ghost and Kylie joined us soon after that but refused breakfast taking coffee instead. Dad joined us soon after that and gladly took breakfast.

Chris and Sabrina came into the kitchen and wanted food too. Balz and Ryan Ashley had to go get ready for work at their oddities shop so Elisabeth and Jenn took their place at the little bar.

"Good morning Elisabeth." I greeted her.

"Good morning Dani. Can I get some scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes please." She replied.

"Of course you can. Do you want orange juice or milk?" I said.

"Milk please." She replied.

I cracked the eggs, put more of the bacon in a pan and started the pancakes while also pouring her some milk. I made her pancakes smaller than I did the others and once everything was done I sat the plate down in front of her. Brandon joined us soon after that. I wasn't paying attention to him until I turned around to take Elisabeth's plate. His eyes caught the light above the bar and I saw patterns I've only seen in books.

"Hey Brandon do they know the name of what you have?" I asked.

"No. They said any record of it was lost centuries ago. Why?" He replied.

"I think I know what you have but I need to make a few calls. Ryan go wake everyone else up. This is kinda huge. Oh and tell Sam to bring my phone." I said.

"You really think you know what I have?" Brandon asked.

"Yes. I think I do." I replied with a thin smile.

Once everyone has joined us we walked into the living room.

"So Ryan said you think you know what Brandon has." Chris said with a yawn.
