I felt my body tremble. "Listen if you want instead of going home you can stay with a friend or I could help you find somewhere!" he said still holding my hand "You don't understand he will find a way to get out of it then decide to actually kill me!" I said looking at him. I watched as his face fell. "I'm sorry" he whispered. I felt my eyes start to water. "Hey no no don't cry hun" He said rushing up and over to me. He knelt down in front of me holding my hands. "Listen... I won't let anyone hurt you.. I promise" He said softly, I looked at him I felt as a tear fell from my eye and down my cheek. I felt as his hand wiped away the tear. "There's no need to cry love" He spoke softly moving my head to look at him, "you'll be just fine, I'm always here if needed.. And I'll protect you.. Ok?" He smiled i nodded a bit. He pulled me down hugging me. "I promise you I will protect you I swear" He whisperd,Almost as if to himself. I smiled a bit. He let go of me. "Now I will walk you to go eat lunch." "I.. Don't eat lunch" I smiled a bit "what!? You need to eat!!" He exclaims grabbing my hands "why? I just don't wanna eat food" "What if I ate with you?" He said looking at me. I felt my face heat up slightly. I saw as he smiled. "Well then let's go and eat" He smiled pulling me up and out the class, he pulled me along and once we reached the cafeteria I stopped him. "I... Have food on a table with my friends.." I said "ok then let's go sit there I have food" He smiled holding up a cooler bag by his side that I hadn't seen. I nodded my head. We both walked in and I sat next to dan and Phil who were sitting alone just talking and eating. "Hi" I said to them, they both watched in shock as Ethan sat with us. "Uhh.. Hi?" Dan said looking at Ethan. He held out his hand to each. "I'm Mr Nestor but you can call me Ethan" He smiled. Dan and Phil looked at me as I pulled my tray of food to my chest, I just stared at it I felt as Ethan leaned into my ear "if you eat your food I won't tell about your dad.. " He spoke hesitantly. I slowly grabbed a piece of fruit out of the small fruit salad the school gives, I nibbled on the corner of the fruit. "Whoe" I heard Dan mumble. "Don't get used to it Danni boy" I said taking a bigger bite then instantly regretting it as the fruit tasted horrible. I instantly spat it out grabbing Phils water bottles and taking a few sips. "Hey why do you have my water bottle" Ethan said. I almost spat out that water I looked over at Phil who was currently drinking from his own. "I'm so sorry O my god" I panicked Ethan just laughed "na its fine I have another one" He smiled pulling out one from his bag "oh.." "now eat young lady'' he said as he took a bite of some pizza. I looked down at my food and heard my stomach growl. I grabbed my fork and took some of my undressed salad yeah.. That's right I don't use dressing fight me I don't like soggy salad. I shoved it into my mouth and started to chew it while looking down at the small container holding my salad as I was wisked away into my thoughts. 'Your gonna become more fat and that's gonna make him beat you more' 'he's gonna find out what you told Nestor and beat you when your home' I felt my eyes tear up i spat at out my food " Uh excuse me for a moment" I said standing up and rushing out, I heard as they all called after me but I just ignored them rushing into a bathroom stall and puking.
Ethen POV
I watched as mac rushed out. We called after her but no response. "I-is this something she usually does?" I asked the boys "yeah.. She doesn't eat she hasn't eaten since her mom left last year.. Shes began leaving the lunch room too now..we were shocked when she ate something but.. Thinking about it shes probably in the bathroom getting sick.. " Dan spoke not looking at me. I felt my eyes start to water. "If.. I may... Her mom left?" "Yeah she left because of her dad.. Mac thinks it's her fault...her mom left said goodbye to Mac and... Now no one knows were she went.. It's as if she disappeared off the face of the earth" Dan spoke finally looking at me "oh.." I mumbled I could only imagine the pain she was going through.. 'I'm gonna protect her with all I have and I promise that!' I stoop up throwing out my trash and macs trash. I walked out the Lunch room and out side the girls bathroom I stood there untill she came out
Mac POV
I washed my hands looking at myself disliking what was looking back at me. I walked out and was pulled back. I panicked "I'm sorry I'm sorry please dont" I tried my best to scramble away from the person "hey hey it's ok calm down it's me hunny" A soft voice rang out I calmed down still slightly panicked "see it's all right hun it's me Ethan" He said into my ear holding me close to him I calmed down relaxing into his arms "you scared me.. " I mumbled turning to face him. I looked into his eyes and saw a small glimmer. We both stared at each other "uh... W-we should go" I said looking away i felt him let "indeed" He said as he began to walk away. I followed him down the hall and into his class. "What do you need hun" He said spinning to face me. "Nothing I just don't wanna... Be around other people" I said playing with my hands. "Well then take a seat and do whateverwhatever" He smiled I nodded grabbing my bag and getting my sketch book and began to doodle, I played with a small sketch of Ethan's face with his warm smile on it, I smiled back at the picture. "Mm cute drawing" I heard him say with a chuckle" He smiled I jumped almost falling out of my chair "o-oh t-thanks" I sttuterd out I just heard him chuckle and walk away. Soon the bell rang "goodbye Mr.Nestor" I said looking over at him. "Goodbye Mac" He smiled at me.

I stood at the door waiting for Dan and Phil. Soon they showed up "who's house are we hanging at today? " I asked walking with them. "Uhh we were thing Phil's" Dan answered as we all walked down the stairs. I heard a car honk. I looked over to see my dad in his car. "Uh... Looks.. Like I.. Can't today... Uh sorry guys" "Mac this is the tenth time this month" Dan exclaimed. "S-sorry.. I'll see if I can after... Doing Whatever my dad needs.." I said looking at him then my dad. "Ok.." Dan spoke we both went our seperate ways of got into my dad's car "hey.. Dad" I said placing Mt stuff down "when we're home I want you in the living room. Understand? " "Y-yes.. " I spoke looking away as he drove off I saw Mr.Nestor I gave a slight wave as I saw his worried face. "Who are you waving at?!" My dad snapped "A friend!" I snapped back "excuse me!" "I'm sorry I didn't mean to" I panicked. "Be lucky I didn't invite anyone today next time I'm going to" He growled I looked away panicked a bit slightly.
