Chapter 33: Darkness

Elizabeth's P.O.V
Zeldris used his magic on me, he did something to me. I was trapped in my own mind and it was full of his darkness.
"Cursed goddess Elizabeth, you're still making my brother suffer~?" Zeldris spoke in a firm tone while smirking at me...I don't understand what he meant. I'm...cursed?
"I don't know what you mean...speak so I can understand more clearly!!" I looked at him with no fear, but I knew that now I'd learn the truth from him.
"You always make my brother suffer cursed goddess! When will you ever stop?!" Zeldris shouted at me with a tone full of hate...he cared about Meliodas...I ruined their bond somehow...
"What do you mean when you say...I'm bringing him suffering? So it's true...about me being a goddess?" I looked at the commandment of piety with a confused expression. He looked frustrated with me...I just want to know more about me and Meliodas.
"You have existed over these past long 3,000 years...each time you die you lose all your memories of the previous world. And you inevitably meet my brother Meliodas...again. By now, it's been over 40 or 50 times..." Zeldris spoke firmly and I was shocked to hear what my curse was, but then...that means, am I the goddess he loved long ago? Was I Liz as well...?
"Reborn...? So then...the Elizabeth together with Meliodas 3,000 years ago...and Liz of Danafor-" I was then cut off by Zeldris. I could tell that even though he hates his brother, he still loves and cares about him..
"Of course...they were both you!" Zeldris shouted and glared at me. His eyes were so full of hate for me...I could see why, but still...I couldn't help but feel happy right now...and so I began to smile.
"...? Why are you so happy?" Zeldris asked with a confused tone and tried to remain angry. I could still see through his disguise...he didn't truly want to kill me since I made Meliodas happy.
"It's like a dream...the one thing I wished was true...I can't believe...it really is...I have...always been together with Meliodas...all this time...do you know just how-"
"Just how much do you think that's made him suffer!?"
Zeldris was once again glaring at me...I ruined the relationship he had with Meliodas, but I knew he was conflicted with me.
"Make him suffer...? How...? Why...? Meliodas is always by my side...and he's always thinking of me...caring for me...I want to remember! All of the time that I've been together with him...all those words that he's whispered to me...!!" I shouted and suddenly my body began to shine very bright. Zeldris looked at me with an amused look..
"Is that so...?" Zeldris murmurs as he looked at me who was shining brighter every second that passes.
"In that case...remember everything!! And know the true depth of your sin from back then...!!!" Zeldris screamed and pointed his finger at me. He used his dark energy to send me back. I woke up to see the sins surrounding me. I was laying in bed and Meliodas was holding my hand lovingly...
"Elizabeth...you're back."
