"Okay, so if not Ruby, then who would you be into?" Monse says, getting Rosa's attention. "I don't know. What about you?" Olivia asks, changing the subject.

"Yeah, what about you?" Rosa smirks, as the girl sits down next to her. "No one." Monse rolls her eyes.

"I don't believe that." Rosa says, shaking her head. "Well, maybe there's one guy." Monse says, happily. She then goes on telling the girl's about what happened before summer.

"Okay, so you've been smashual with this dude since summer and now you want to go legit? Go legit. What's the worst that can happen?" Olivia says, strongly. "The guys could stop talking to me, and our dynamic could change. We've been super tight since fourth grade." Monse says, shaking her head.

"You're telling me none of them have ever had a girlfriend? Matias never had a girlfriend?" Olivia asks, curiously. "Maybe once in sixth grade, but since then I don't know, he doesn't talk about that stuff with me." Monse says, with a sigh.

"What about Ruby? What if Ruby got a girlfriend?" Olivia says, with  a tilt of her head. "Yes! God, yes. Please let that happen." Rosa says, looking up to the sky.

"He'd probably unclench a little." Monse says, agreeing with the small latina. "Maybe that's what they say about you." Olivia says, softly.

"You implying I'm uptight?" Monse asks, with narrowed eyes. "No, but you just tend to overthink." Rosa says, with a nod of her head.

"'And it's just you and your dad, right?" Olivia says, changing the subject. "Yeah." Monse nods.

"Where is your mom?" Olivia asks, slowly. "Don't know. She left when I was little. This is now becoming a sad-fest, so..." Monse says, looking away from the two.

"I'm sorry." Olivia says, softly. "No, I'm sorry. It's just kind of complicated right now in the mom front." Monse says, weakly.

"Your turn, chica. Anyone catch you eye at school?" Rosa asks Olivia, changing the subject for Monse. "I don't kiss and tell."
