Hermione POV

They put the entire eighth year together in almost every class. And that meant I had every class with Annabeth, Percy and Hazel, as well as my old friends. For the most part our classes were uneventful. Slughorn tried to get Percy in the Slug Club because of his parents and tried to get Annabeth to join because of her brains. He also hoped he was going to recruit me again, I don't think I will join though, if I can get out of it. Herbology was normal aside from every plant that Hazel and Hannah Abbot worked on together became a limp wilting mess. Ron who is in divination with Percy, Hazel, Harry and the 7th years, had said Trawlaney had began predicting Percy's death while going over oracles of the past ("I thought this class was about the future" He had complained).  Our first few Charms classes were a nice break as Flitwick just had us review any spell we could think of, and he mentioned teaching us proper dueling. Arithmency that I had with Annabeth, was still my favorite class and Im very glad that I'm taking it instead of divination. Transfiguration was almost the same as it always has been. We have been doing self transformations Percy was able to get his hair to turn pink even before I did. And even bested me at turning the desk into a sofa. I thought I was supposed to be the smart one.

Still the strangest classes we had was still the first Defense Against the Dark Arts class. The exchange students knew Professor DiAngelo. But she was dead. She claimed to be 89 years old, but she said Percy knew her when she was alive. And she certainly looks like a modern day teenager. The other languages written on the board were also only able to be read by a few people in class. Percy, Annabeth, Hazel, Malfoy surprisingly, and Harry. Terry Boot said he could read it but when the professor asked what it had said he said he had no clue. For our second class she wanted us to pick a Greek or Roman monster and explain why it's dangerous for homework, but she wanted us to not say its name in our report. She would just be guessing. I personally happen to think that's completely illogical, but perhaps that how they do it in America.

The only class we hadn't taken yet was Care of Magical Creatures. Which we had on Friday after lunch and potions. They had put it on our timetables because they thought it brought skills everyone needed to have. I didn't agree but, who am I to argue with McGonagall.

"I didn't even know love potions were real things." Annabeth said as we all walked to Care of Magical Creatures with Hagrid. A lot of subjects had been that way this year. Annabeth continued "And I don't think teaching a bunch of kids how to brew them is a good idea. On top of that it made the room smell awful. Like seaweed, strawberries, chlorine and burnt cookies mixed into one. You'd think it smell good but think again."

"Annabeth, we're all of age, except Hazel. We're not children." Ron said, smirking. "And amortencia smells like things that represent your true love. But you know that because you were listing to the Professor right?" Annabeth was suddenly blushing like mad when Percy stopped and touched her shoulder and spun her around.

"I love you Wise Girl." He said and kissed her gently on the head. "Even if you think chlorine smells bad."

"Love you to Seaweed Brain." Annabeth smiled back, looking up into his eyes. I did have to admit, he was quite good looking. If he and Annabeth weren't so perfect for eachother, I might have been pining for Percy. But I think he is too much like Harry, who is like my younger brother, and I don't really think I could date my fake brother's brother.

"Hey, hurry before an owl comes and claws out Percy's eyes," Hazel said "we've got to get to class." Ron looked at them as if they had all grown a second head while they all walked away and laughed.

"So we just wait here by the forest and just hope a teacher comes out here to teach us?" Hazel said "It really doesn't look like anyone is coming."
