POV: Rachel
Moving day was yesterday, well i guess you could say it went well. i said goodbye to my old friends.
goodbye is hard to say, something you don't say often. because it means you're not gonna see each other ever again. for me it means that, i've said it often. maybe i've said it too much, it lost its definition for me. saying goodbye is not so hard anymore, i've had to say it so much i don't feel sad anymore. i will start over and after a few months or a couple of years i'll say goodbye again. it's just a matter of time.
anyways, i moved in. yeah you've heard it right I moved in. no i'm not living on my own, yet. i'm planning on buying my own apartment soon. but for now i live on a school campus. yes i'm in a boarding school. it is a school where your parents drop you if they don't like your company anymore or if you're too much work... well that's my case. i was too much work for my 'parents'. they send me my allowance every week and they pay my school so i can live here.
i'm finally done with unpacking. i have a room for myself, in a few weeks i'll probably get a roomy but it is vacation so most people are still at home. except for me, my parents couldn't be happier with dropping me off at school already.
after a couple of hours i decide to go downstairs so i can get some food, i saw that the cafeteria was still closed. So i ordered a pizza, after all i still need to eat i'm only human...
i got a message my pizza had arrived so i sprinted downstairs. oh god i love pizza. my plan was to go to my room to eat my pizza with the company of netflix, but when i walked past the cafeteria i saw a very handsome boy sitting there all alone. i walked up to him, just to ask his name.
"hi." i said
he looked surprised up, like he didn't know he wasn't the only one in this whole building. well i didn't either so we're quite.
"hi, i'm Jay." he said in deep voice, sounding like he just woke up.
"well Jay, i'm Rachel." i said trying to copy his voice, which didn't sound good.
he grinned, he thought it was funny. that gave me a little confidence boost, it was nice i already knew i felt comfortable with his presence.
i remembered i still had the pizza in my hands. he looked hungry so i asked if he wanted a slice. i put the pizza down and we started eating and talking.
and so it went on all night. and here we are at 10 PM in the cafeteria.
"it was a hoot meeting you, but i think i need to go to bed." i said chuckling after i yawned.
he showed his million dollar smile and told me he would walk me to my room.
"what a gentleman are you. well thank you young man." i said while making a bow.
he chuckled
"well it's my honor young lady." he said in return and he offered me his arm like we were a married couple.
i couldn't stop smiling, when we arrived at my room he asked for my number which i gladly gave to him.
"goodnight my young lady." he said to me.
"thank you my dear, you too have a goodnight." i told him before i opened my door with, obviously, my key. i waved him bye and closed the door.
i walked up to my bed and let my body dramatically fall onto the bed. i suddenly believe in love at first sight. i think i will just go well with this boy. yes i believe so.
yeah that was it for my first day, after some daydreaming about Jay i fell asleep.
-
the next morning i woke up with a lot of energy, so i decided to go on a run. in the hallways i bumped into some real life barbie doll.
"watch out bitch! what do you think, just because you're new doesn't mean you can just bump into me like this. arghhh." she yelled at me with a pitchy voice.
"woah woah, calm down barbie. why in such a bad mood? did Ken break up with you? 'cause i totally agree with him if you act this way all the time. yeez." i reacted grumpy.
wow i felt my mood change, i'm probably close to my period. so here comes the moodswings, can't wait. feel the sarcasm, it flows through my blood.
i walked past her and hoped she wouldn't be my roommate. i walked out the ugly building and started running.
soon i was in the centre of the city, i ran across the street and turned off the music i had on. i saw an bakery so i walked in there to order some breakfast, the breakfast menu to be clear.
"well, i didn't expected to see you here young lady." i heard a known deep and funny voice behind me, i immediately recognized the voice: Jay.
"well my young man, i didn't expect you here either. maybe we could eat breakfast together?" i suggested.
he nodded as agreement. after that he ordered a sandwich with tomato and cheese and as side a salad.
i led the way to an open table by a window.
"i love window seats, i hope you don't mind?" i said while he shaked his head to show he didn't mind. " they're just so open, it's like you can see the whole world. all the people passing by, on different times. you never know what they're up to, where they're going. maybe they're meeting someone we saw passing by earlier. who knows? you can say i'm fascinated about everything what is going on outside. you get me? there is a storm of people, of thoughts and we are just sitting here like nothing is happening. just sitting, maybe sipping a coffee or eating breakfast watching them. while the whole world, my whole world, is just passing by right in our sight. they're all just living their lives. while we sit here like time has stopped for us, what would they think of us? you'll never know, and maybe that is what keeps me interested." i mumbled.
i do think he heard me because he was watching me fascinated and kept nodding after every sentence. after every thought.
" well all that matters is the opinion of my beloved ones, i don't care what the strangers passing by think of me." he said softly, as if he was hurting my feelings. but he didn't he did the opposite actually, he told me a new point of view what made me more interested in him. if that makes sense?
after we talked for an hour and ate our breakfast he drove us back to school. where we separated and went out own ways, for now.
Jay is an nice guys, but there is something about him. he isn't like 'normal' guys. he had no intention of a date just now. you know what i mean? he didn't flirt with me, that's something most guys do. but he didn't, he different.
