My fist tightened around Draco's collar as I scanned over the hoard of teenagers. My hands shook slightly as the girls screamed and yelled over seeing each other and presents they claimed is exactly what they wanted but would later be shoved in a corner, not to be seen until they are moving out of their parents house.

I was sat beside a girl in my class, Casey Cooke, who seemed to want to be here as much as I did. The only difference was she doesn't want to be here because she hates people, I don't to be here because I'm scared of people, and almost everything else in the world. Growing up without any interaction from people, children, animals and the world in general has rendered me a burden to society. Anxiety, PTSD, 60% blind, fear of everything. I'm a stain on the face of the earth that won't go away but people don't bother donating any of their time to help fix me.

Draco whined quietly and nudged my hand with his nose to drag my attention back to him. I took a deep breath and gave him a slight smile while rubbing his head and gently tugging on his long ear causing him to huff and nip my hand. I laughed and rubbed the ear I tugged before looking at the girl sitting a seat or two away from me. She was staring out the window solemly while the girls took pictures of each other. She looked completely fed up with everyone and everything. She didn't even move as the girls started gobbling at the food. I sighed and got up, taking Draco's collar in one hand and let it slid down my wrist to the crook of my arm as I picked up two plates. One for me, one for Casey.

I slowly walked over to her and contemplated what to say. My heart started to hammer in my chest as I thought about having to talk to someone I don't know that well. My head was screaming 'This was a bad idea!' but my heart was saying it was the right thing to do. Casey turned to look at me and looked at the two plates in my hands. "I-I, ugh, I-" I stuttered and looked down at Draco who stared at me and nudged my leg. "I-um, got y-you some....pizza?" I cleared my throat as it finished in a question. She stared at me and I quickly set the plate in front of her and whispered a quick 'Sorry' before scurrying to my seat and quickly sitting down and setting the plate on the table. I looked down noticing my hand shaking in anxiety. Draco placed his head on my thigh and urged me to pet him which I did gratefully and focused my mind on his soft fur being ran through my fingers.

I glanced up and noticed Casey staring at me. She let out a small smile and mouthed 'Thank You' before turning in her chair and staring out the window once more and eating the slice of pizza. A sense of pride wormed it's way through my heart as I took in what I did. Simple to the average person, but huge for me.

I sat in my chair with my phone to my ear. "Walk home Willow, i'm busy" My cousin's deep voice sounded through the phone. "B-but it's f-forty minutes in the c-car" I whispered. "I don't care, you could use the walk anyway, you never leave the fucking house" His tone was harsh and I cringed before sighing quietly. "Okay" I whispered. "Speak up, you make me feel deaf. I'll see you at home. Make sure that mutt is clean when you get here, I don't want dirt all over the ground like last time" He finished before hanging up. I knew he was at home, he just didn't want to come collect me. I sighed and stood up, taking Draco's lead in my hand and walked towards the four people waiting at the door. "M-my cousing c-can't pick me up. I'm going to w-walk" I said quietly, hoping they heard me so I wouldn't have to repeat myself. "Nonsense, we'll drive you home. We're driving Casey here home too" He smiled. I wanted to decline but my voice caught in my throat before I could answer so I settled for shaking my head slightly. "Come on Willow, we've never heard you talk before and you would miss all my dad's horrible jokes" Clare, a blonde haired popular girl, smiled somewhat convincingly. She grabbed my wrist and dragged me out of the resturant before I could shake my head again. I tensed under her tight hold and tried to pull it out of her grip. Draco growled at her and she quickly let go. "I'm sorry, I didn't know" I clenched one of my hands and wrapped the other around the white dog's collar. "I-t's f-f-fine" I stammered and moved foreward towards where Casey, the brown haired girl and the Dad were.

"There's no room in the back for the dog so you two are gonna' have to sit in the front, okay?" I nodded my head and opened the door, letting Draco jump in and onto the floor before I climbed in and automatically strapped my seat belt over my chest and in the slot. I immediately attached my hands onto Draco to calm my nerves. I closed my eyes while the others climbed in and started talking, barr Casey. My eyes flickered open as the car shook when the boot was closed and I looked at the mirror and furrowed my eyebrows when I seen the left over food on the ground and the car door to my left open. My heart rate sky rocketed as I slowly glanced over and my breath hitched when I seen a man, probably in his late 20's/early 30's, sit in the drivers seat of the car.

His clothing was neat, not a stain on his shirt and his glasses rested nicely on his face. He breathed out and pulled out a cloth and wrapped it around his hand and started pulling rubbish off the dashboard and cleaning the steering wheel. He stopped as Clare started talking. "Hey! Pardon me sir, I think you have the wrong car" It was silent for a minute before the sound of the doors locking interupted the silence and he turned around, surgical mask covering his face, and sprayed something, probably chloroform, into the faces of the girls as they tried to get out. He slowly turned around, pulling the mask off his face and continued cleaning the wheel of the car. Draco started growling but I placed a hand on his muzzle silencing him and the man mearly glanced at him before snapping his attention to the back seat where Casey was trying to open the door, a loud warning beep sounded through the car and the man stared at her menacingly. They stared at each other before the man quickly slid the mask back over his face and sprayed her quickly and turned around to look at me.

My eyes locked with his cold, steel-like eyes. His eyebrow raised, questioning what I was going to do. I meerly lowered my eyes submissively and clung to the dog in between my legs. A sudden dense smell entered my nose and my head fell forward as my body shut down. A hand caught it before it could collide with anything and seat it back against the seat.
