Chapter 1: New haircuts

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

"For fucks sake." You murmured as the sound of your alarm signified a new day. You hated the sound of the alarm set on your phone, but have always been too lazy to change it. You let it ring for a while until it got to a point where it pissed you off, hearing it every single day.

You sat up in bed and reached towards the floor where you had left you phone from the night before and turned your alarm off. You looked into the reflection of your phone and remembered the haircut you got the day before. It was always a shock to people when you had a haircut for some reason. It was cut just above shoulder length.

You tucked a couple strands behind your ear and browsed your social media's for a while. Same updates as always and nothing new to catch your attention. You got out of bed and decided it was time to get ready for school, not before making your bed and putting your phone on charge.

Your short half-term holiday was over and you hadn't really made much interaction with your friends or made any social media updates.

You had your uniform set and checked your hair one last time, tucking the same couple of strands of hair before behind your ear again and combed your fringe downwards with your fingers.
The rest of your family members were asleep and the intention of waking them up didn't really click in your mind so you decided to throw on your black hoody and pick up your school bag, which was next to the stairs and leave the house quietly.

You waited at the bus stop each school day; but not to catch the bus, just to meet up with your best friend, Eren, and walk to school together. "Late as always Eren." You grinned at him, causing him to smile but roll his eyes at you.
"Arriving 2 minutes after 8:00 isn't late (y/n), I'm on time and you're just early." He said folding his arms but smiling straight after. You then set off on your journey towards school.

You both usually go to the corner shop before school to buy beverages or chocolate to make up for the fact that you never eat breakfast at home so decide to have breakfast on the go with whatever you want to have. You usually buy a monster energy drink. The taste of it is better than any other drink you've ever had and you didn't really care if having an energy drink was bad first thing in the morning...and neither did Levi.

He was your classmate, and you've only talked a couple of times. You both always ended up bumping into each other at the fridge in the corner shop to both get yourselves monsters. This time there was only one left. "Damn, should have left the house earlier, dammit Eren." You thought to yourself. You both looked at each other and back at the monster.
"Don't even think of touching it brat, I had my eyes set on it before you, and no matter how hard you plead, it's mine." Levi said as he reached towards the energy drink. You 'oofed' in your head as Levi was of course admittedly a handsome guy and took a look at all of his facial piercings like you always do. They always seemed to intrigue you. His lip piercings, nose piercings and multiple ear piercings. He had way more piercings than you did- 3 piercings on the lobe and a double cartilage. He also left his uniform shirt unbuttoned at the top so you could see a part of his chiseled chest and a tattoo.

Before he entered the school gates, he always did his buttons back up and put his tie on.

You flicked Levi's hand away from the drink and said with a bitchy confused look "Um, actually I was going to allow you to take it, but since you dragged it out and made unnecessary comments, I'll take it instead." You put your hand around the can and took it off the shelf.
"No, shit face, I claimed it before you, go to another shop and buy another can." Levi said also putting his hand around the can and death staring you.
Death staring was easy to you, so you shot one back and told him "Great idea, so move along, asshole." You said the last part under your breath, as you were low key scared of Levi but you always kept your guard up, like your brother taught you.

At this rate, Eren, after finding his protein and chocolate bars came to the fridge to look for you and found you and Levi death staring each other, with both of your hands on the can.

"Hey..." Eren said with his eyebrows forward and his finger on his chin. You and Levi looked at him, still keeping a hand on the can. "You've both had a haircut..."
