Chapter 2: Saved by a slap

You looked back at Levi and noticed he had got an undercut. It looked pretty darn sexy to you. Your hand loosened from the can. Levi slowly looked back at you from looking at Eren and looked at your new haircut. You were anxious of him saying something but instead he took a long look at your hair and looked to the floor slowly.

He yanked the can from your loosened grip and started to walk towards the counter. "Yeah, so what, does it bother you Jeagerbomb?" Levi said sarcastically. You and Eren both watched him pay for the energy drink and walk out the shop. Eren looked back at you, to see a light tint of pink on your cheeks. "You gonna get yourself another monster or..."
"...no..." you said thinking about how great Levi looked with his new haircut. You walked out of the shop leaving Eren behind you to catch up to you.

Levi was one of the handsomest boys in your school even with his last haircut. You couldn't imagine the way people would look and talk about him now with his new undercut.

~time skip to school~

You made it to school with Eren, but you were late. "Well done (y/n), your little argument with the punk made us late, you know how cranky eyebrows gets when we're late." Eren sarcastically said, running and pulled your arm which signified you to hurry up and run with him.
"It's not my fault, he started the argument over MY monster." You said stubbornly.
Eren listened and tilted his head, "Well technically it wasn't your monster since Levi took it, paid for it, and most likely drank it."
"Shut it Eren." You overtook Eren and stood outside your classroom with Eren trying to recapture your breath.

You both walked into your class and were greeted with with a very pissed off Mr Erwin Smith. "(y/n) and Eren after school detention for being late, I expected better from the both of you."
"We're sorry Mr Smith and it won't happen again." Eren said walking to his desk behind you. You scoffed and rolled you eyes "I don't know why he expects better us" you muttered to yourself and sat down.

You looked around but you couldn't see what you wanted. Levi. He left the shop before you but wasn't in class. You were feeling mixed emotions about him. Was he alright?? Did he even make it to school?? You let your thoughts wonder off until you were snapped out of your brooding by Eren, who was pulling you to your next lesson.

You opened your book and started to stare out the window while your first lesson, chemistry, with Miss Hange Zoe bored you. She was such a lively teacher and definitely needed to calm down. "Welcome back to chemistry!!!!!! I know how much you missed this lesson and missed meeeeeeee!!!!" She pranced around the classroom singing. You sat at the back of the room and watched the classroom. While your teacher was prancing around the classroom, you noticed Levi walk in quietly and take his seat near the front. He looked around the classroom and made eye contact with you. You didn't know what to do so you stared back until Hange started her lesson.

~short time skip~

Levi's POV:
She definitely noticed I walked in late, and her short hair won't hide the fact that she's asleep for a long time. Ugh brat, is she fishing for scoldings today?

While Miss Hange set you on your task you had slightly drifted to sleep and your long hair would've saved you by covering your face. But since you cut it short, it hardly covered your face. Miss Hange started to walk around the classroom to look at the progress people were making with their work. She was very passionate about chemistry and wanted the rest of you to be passionate as well.

Levi got out of his seat, walked over to you and tapped the back of your head quite hard, but not that hard, making you jerk forwards towards your desk and work.
"...so when the solution is heated, solvent vapour evaporates from the solution..." Levi started leaning over you, pretending to explain the work to you while Miss Hange walked past.
"Thank you Levi for explaining distillation to (y/n), do you understand now (y/n) or would you like me to explain it to you in more depth." Hange said looking down at you. You had no idea what was going on, and you certainly didn't want a one to one deep ass conversation with Hange.
"No thanks, I think I get it now thanks to Levi." You said smiling at your teacher, she walked away to Sasha and Connie, of course.

Levi was such a jerk towards you earlier in the corner shop, what changed his mind?? Bipolar I guess.
"Thanks Levi." You said looking up at him, then looked back down and made a confused face to yourself, then looked back at him. You didn't think he would do something like this for you or even anyone. You realised his closeness and started to blush slightly.
"It's alright I guess, now we're even." Levi said.
'Even' you thought to yourself. Ohhhhhhh, He must mean for the monster. "Hmm, ok fine." You said and looked back down, then at the class and realised they were all staring at you and Levi.
"Show's over freaks." Levi said casually and walked back over to his seat. He walked past Jean and heard him say "(y/n)...damn she looks cute with that new haircut, should have made a move on her earlier." Whilst elbowing Marco.

Levi's POV:
Same dammit, she doesn't find me scary does she? Well she'd definitely choose me over horse face.

A lot of girls were in love with Levi's new undercut and couldn't stop asking him about it as they updated their social media's and told their absent friends about it.
'It's on my fucking head, does it not look obvious enough for this shitty needy girls that keep asking.' Levi thought to himself. 'The next person that looks at me or asks about my hair, I'm going to poke their eyeballs out. This whole fucking day was a piss take but there were some positives to it.'
