Chapter Nine: The fammiliar

Elsie's Pov

"Damn that old geezer," Rin sighed. "We can't live off 2000 yen a month!"

I was visiting Rin and Yukio at their dorm. We were sipping tea together down beside the main kitchen.

"We're living off 200 yen a day," I grumbled. "Make you feel any better? And I can't even buy the weekly Shounen JUMP, which costs 230 yen."

"Well, Rin is a good cook. I also get money from my job as a teacher. Maybe we could figure something out." Yukio suggested.

I turned to Rin. "This guy can cook? I don't believe you."

"Shut up. I can cook, at least better than any of you."

"Prove it."

"I'll make you lunches."

"Deal."

Sam's Pov

I looked up from my bed where I was reading a textbook with a frown on my face.

I had a bad feeling about my familiar Mephisto had given me as a birthday present..

MY UKOBACH WAS IN TROUBLE!

Dropping the book, I stumbled out of my bed and began to get dressed quickly.

NO ONE HAD BETTER HAVE HURT HIM!

And so I ran out of my room, locked it, then headed towards the dorm Yukio and Rin lived in, fire in my eyes.

Elsie's pov

I yawned. "I should be getting back now."

I put my hand on the doorknob. "See you guys tom-"

BLAM!

"Who's there?" I asked unnervingly.

The person rushed off towards the main kitchen.

"Rin!" I yelled.

I hurried after the person.

"What?" was Run's gruff reply.

"UKOBACH!" The person screamed.

I blinked. Ukobach was Anima's familiar, right? Then that means...

"Anima!"

Sam's pov

"YOU UPSET HIM!" I roared to Rin's face as he stared at me like I was some alien.

Ok..I knew I was kinda overeacting but I was a protective and slightly possesive person.

And I know I was freaking him out by talking so much since I usually only talked to Rei and Mephisto but it was his fault!

And I also knew he didn't know who my familiar was, but it didn't matter!

I summoned my hammer with a yell and charged.

Elsie's pov

"Wait Anima!"

Damn, took all my power just so I could run in front of Rin and block her with ny wooden sword.
