So to recap. Last night I told my best friend that I have powers and that I was thinking of going hero. Then mystery girl swooped in and basically agreed to help me with my powers.
Today was like any other day. Woke up, got dressed, got breakfast, went outside to wait for Mason so we could go to school. Although something seemed different. He seemed happier than usual. When I asked him about it he said he'll tell me later. Totally not suspicious.
Anyway, went to class, hung out with the gals, but for some reason Jen was staring at me pretty intensely, you bet Mason teased the hell out of me once we were in the car heading home. I got home made my homework and got dressed and sneaked out hoping my mom wouldn't notice, and made my way to the abandoned middle School.
I look at my watch and it says 10:10.
“Great she tells me not to be late when she herself is late.”
As soon as I say that she drops by “sorry. I had kind of an emergency.” she seemed out of breath.
“You ok? You look distraught.”
“I’m fine. Do you have a way to move from point A to B?” She looks at me with her arms crossed.
“Woah, straight to the point i see. But i'm confused. Like if I can fly or something?”
“Yes.”
“Well no...”
“Alright then we won’t go out to do any type of hero work until we find a way to get you from point A to B that isn’t by running. So for now. Mobility training.”
Ok. That’s better than nothing. “Ok, how exactly can I do that?”
“I don’t know but that’s what we’re here to find out”
We start brain storming to look for ways I can use my powers to move from place to place. I try to thrust my arms down to try lift myself up like if I were flying but I kept throwing ice beams. “Ok. I think I figured it out but it’s gonna take a lot of practice. Hopefully this works” I start throwing my ice at the floor making like an ice floor. I try to aim the ice to a point where it starts making a ramp, surprisingly it’s working.
"Nice job kid." She smiles
"Heh thanks" I launch myself flailing my arms to throw ice to make some kind of platform. But all I’m doing right now is going in a circle. Also... I can't stop. Crap. I attempt at making some kind of icicle big enough so I can stop but all I end up doing is crash on it.
"Oh wow. Are you ok?" She walks up to me to pick me up and offers her hand.
I take it and get up “I'm fine I just need more space to practice than in this small room.”
“Ok how about you go from here to the park a couple blocks down from here. Good enough distance?”
“Yeah I can work with that but I don't know how I'm going to-”
As I agree to it she just floats away. "Stop". I swear. this can get old fast if she keeps doing that mid sentence.
I go outside and try to figure out a way to go up. “Stairs? That takes too long. How about...” I shoot my ice down and a block of ice starts forming under me. I shoot more with harder intensity and it builds faster. “Ok this could be good.”
Now that I’m at the top I make an ice ramp and launch myself forward whilst consecutively making a platform so I don’t fall off. Some how this feels almost natural so I get the hang of it pretty damn fast. (I don't have the slightest clue of how though) And In only like two minutes I went from the abandoned building to the park which is 6 blocks down. I made a mini ramp in which I just jumped off and hoped to God I'd stick the landing. “I did it! I can’t believe it. That was surprisingly easy.”
“Good job. Didn’t expect you to do it that fast”
“Yeah well that’s something that you’ll see quite of-“ suddenly everything went to black.

I regain my conscience to see mystery girl trying to take off the goggles
“Uh what are you doing?”
She jumps back and her voice starts to crack “uh-um, s-sorry. I was just curious on who you are. Also you fainted so I thought I could’ve gotten away with it”
Words of every rapist ever. “Why not just ask?”
“I don’t know it’s not logical to tell someone you barely know your identity”
“If we’re going to be working together we should know who each other is. Just in case”
“You’re right. But we have to promise that if one of us gets captured by a villain we won’t say who the other is. Deal?”
“Deal”
“Ok but. How do we do this? We just say our names or?”
“How about we take off our costumes or in your case that face mask and for me the goggles and then we say our names.”
“That works”
We both proceed to take off our masks and...
