Shadow's POV

I teleported away with Kai to my hideout. When we came there I saw a small hint of regret on Kai's face. I can't have him regret this, that would backfire the whole plan. "You did the best thing." He turned his head to me, "It doesn't feel that way." I put my arm around him, "Don't worry, it'll feel better soon." "*sigh* I guess you're right." "You know I am. Now, how about you make yourself at home."

Lloyd's POV

We all were in the living room talking about what we think happened to Kai. "So you're telling me that there's no trace of where Kai and that man went!" "Nya calm down." "No, Lloyd! I won't calm down as long as my brother is out there with that man!" "Shadow! The man's name is Shadow." I corrected her. "I don't care what his name is! All I know is that Kai is out there and something is wrong with him!" "Something has been wrong with Kai for about a week now and you haven't noticed before!" I shoot a glare at Jay and he shut his mouth. I turned back to Nya but before I was able to say anything she shouted again, "What! And you didn't tell me!" I had to calm her down, "Nya! Calm down and let us explain!" She stopped shouting and sighed, "Fine, explain. I'm listening." I let out a sigh and started, "So about a week ago Kai had a nightmare and I woke up when he screamed because of it. It was about 3 in the morning and I wondered why Kai was up so early. I talked to him up on the deck and then I went to bed. Kai had said that he would go to bed in a little bit after me, so I didn't bother staying up. Later that morning Kai slept in and when he finally came to the dining room he was lost in his thoughts. He didn't respond to anything we said and when I walked over to him I heard him mumbling. I wasn't able to hear what he said but I made out four words. And when I put my hand on his shoulder he turned his head to me and I saw fear in his eyes. He got up and left the room after that." "What was the four words he said?" Nya asked me. "Shadow, True, Friends, Help. Four words that we back then didn't know what they meant, but now I know what some of the words meant. Shadow, we thought it was referring to shadows, so we asked Kai if he was afraid of shadows. But now I know it was referring to Shadow, the man that was with Kai. And I believe I know what the other words mean. True, it probably means that Shadow told Kai something and Kai was wondering if it was true or not. Friends, it could mean two things, it's either referring to us or to if Shadow was a friend. Help, it could mean many things but I have a strong feeling that it was referring to Shadow offering help to Kai." Everyone looked at me with shocked faces, "So you think that Kai accepted Shadow's help?" Wu asked between the sips of his tea. I nodded, "Yes I do, and I also believe that Shadow either has or is going to trick Kai in some way."

2 weeks later

Shadow's POV

Things are going according to my plan. I have been making sure that Kai has nightmares every night, and they are all about his friends. He is slowly coming over to my side. Maybe he doesn't realize it but he and I are more alike than a right hand is to a left hand. We have the exact same personality and traits. The only difference is that I'm evil and doesn't have his flaws. Do you want to know why we're so alike? Heh! Why don't you guess it yourself.

Anyway, I'm sure you're wondering what my plan is. Well...I won't tell. That would ruin the surprise, now wouldn't it. You'll just have to wait and see.

I was snapped out of my thoughts a scream was heard from Kai's room. I sighed and walked over to his door. I heard quiet whimpering. "How pathetic he is," I whispered to myself. I opened the door and saw him sitting on his bed breathing heavily. I walked over to him and he looked up. "Oh, it's just you Shadow." "Was it another nightmare?" He nodded slowly and I smirked in my mind. "How about we finally deal with those ninjas?" His face showed mixed emotions, anger, fear, sadness, and a small hint of happiness. Then finally his face decided, anger was shown in his eyes. "Just tell me what to do." I smirked and held out my hand, "Just take my hand and I will show you.

Kai's POV

Shadow held out his hand to me and I thought for a second and then took his hand. The smirk on his face grew wider and an evil laugh made its way out of his mouth. I started to feel pain spreading from my hand and through my entire body. I screamed and tried to let go of his hand but I couldn't move. It felt like my whole body was burning and even though I didn't think it could happen, I didn't like the feeling. I saw the look on Shadows face and at that moment I understood. He had tricked me. I let out another scream and then the world faded to black.
