All week, you had planned that you were going to go to Nolan's game since you finally had a night off work, however when the day rolled around, you immune system had different plans. That meant instead of sitting at the field eating all the hot dogs and nachos your heart desired, you were parked on the couch in a blanket mountain.
Nolan had played a fantastic game, going 4-4 with a two run homer, meaning they wanted him to do the post game interview.
He had his phone on him in the dugout throughout the game, just in case you needed anything but you knew he was obviously busy. Once you saw that they game had ended however, you send him a text saying
Please bring soup
He didn't answer as soon as you thought he would, but as you watched him answer questions during his post game interview, just before taking off the headset, he looks into the camera and says
"Rachel, if you're watching this, I'll get soup on my way home"
which sends you into a laughing fit by yourself. He always knew how to make you feel better.
