The rest of the day passed fairly quickly; I protested several times that Steve didn't have to watch over me, but he told me that he didn't mind. Fury called me back and explain in more detail what S.H.I.E.L.D is. I had just finished unpacking the very few items I had and was sitting on my bed reading a book when a faint knock on my door pulled me from the fantasy world. Rangers ears pulled up from his spot on the floor.

I hushed him before he bark, got up, touched the handle of the door, and pushing all of the past memories out of my head. I blushed slightly when I saw Steve at my door.

"You missed dinner," he told me.

I glanced at the small clock on my small nightstand, eight-fifteen. I had been caught up in Fury, unpacking, and reading that I didn't watch the clock.

"Sorry I was caught up in a lot of things," I explain.

"Well I brought you something to eat," he said handing me a styrofoam take-home box.

I picked it up, not even thinking, and watched as memories flooded my mind. I watched as Steve ordered the small chicken nuggets and Mac and Cheese for me. Tony Stark was teasing him, telling Steve he was getting the hits for me. Steve kept silent and pushed pasted him and up into my room.

I shook my head to rid the images and looked at Steve.

"Thank you," I placed the box on my bed and then it dawned on me," You can come in."

Steve stepped awkwardly into my room and took a look around. My room wasn't much, one twin bed, a night stand beside it with a clock and lamp on it. I had a desk right next to the door and a small dresser.

Once my dog took sight of the Captain he started growling. Steve looked at me, fear written in his features.

"He's a sweet dog, don't worry," I tell him.

I petted Ranger in between the ears and ordered him to his bed.

"You don't have to do this Mr. Rogers. I have already caused enough drama for you."

"I don't mind it ma'am," he told me awkwardly from the farthest corner away from me.

I stared silently at him," well at least take a seat," I say after a minute.

The man walked awkwardly towards the seat in front of my desk. I had already changed into my sleepwear and was getting ready to climb into bed.

"Don't you want to eat?" Steve asked.

I shook my head," I'm not hungry. You can have it, you'll be up practically all night and you might get hungry."

I placed the box of food in his hands and climbed into bed. As I got comfortable I thought, this was going to be a long night.

Steve's POV

I watched as Kirsten slept, she snored, a lot, and even talked in her sleep. She explained her dreams in third person and I couldn't help but chuckle at some of the things she would say. Her dog stared at me, as if studying me. Out of the things that made me uncomfortable. When the clock struck nine, thirty minutes after she had fell asleep, I trudged over to her bed.

"Kirsten," I said gently placing my hand on her covers and shaking her gently.

Her eyes opened and squinted by the dull lighting that the lamp put off. She nodded her head and then rolled back over and fell asleep. I walked back over to my spot and watched more. I saw a book she had placed on the nightstand.

I contemplated about leaving it there or reading it to past time. I decided to leave it as it wasn't mine. I found my thoughts wondering off. The woman in front of me was quite beautiful. She had pretty light brown hair and her big, round, blue eyes weren't hard to get lost in. I noticed she would blush at the smallest things, even when she was dreaming.

I glanced at the clock and again it had been thirty minutes, I placed my hand on her shoulder.

"Kirsten."

Kirsten's POV

She had really pretty hair and her big, round, blue eyes weren't hard to get lost in. The way she blushed at the smallest things, even in her dream, was adorable. Steve's thoughts rushed into mine and I jerked awake. My sudden movement caused Steve to jump back and my dog to jump on my bed. Everyone had gotten frightened.

"I'm sorry," Steve and I said simultaneously.

"I didn't mean to scare you," Steve told me.

My cheeks reddened remembering what he had thought about me.

"As did I," I tell him.

It was awkward after that, I yawned and laid back down.

"I'm going back to sleep," I said.

Steve nodded his head and I did just that. The cycle continued on after that, every thirty minutes I would be awakened. Each time Steve would touch my covers to wake me, he must have realized why I freaked the second time he woke me up.

I opened my eyes and looked around my room, Steve hadn't woke me up. I glanced over at my clock and saw that it had read seven in the morning. The last time I got woken up was at four-fifteen. I looked over and saw Steve, head slouched over, and he was snoring softly.

I smiled as I realized the super soldier had fallen asleep. I got up and grabbed a small blanket off the edge of my bed. As gently as I could I placed it around the man. Steve's jerked open and his arms went flying everywhere.

I shrieked and fell on my butt.

"I am so sorry, I am quitea light sleeper," Steve said.

He got up quickly, grabbed my hand, and helped me up. My eyes widen as I was hit by Steve Rogers dream. He has dreamt of me.
