Miraculums POV
I woke up early but stayed laying down beside my girl Myla who cuddle with me and was still asleep. I thought about my life, how I was abandoned as a pup and found by this kind family. When I met the families girl Myla she was very little and was blind. I knew when I first met her that I was destined to be found by her family and I was to become her eyes. Now I am all grown up into a strong and proud loving black and white wolf. Some would look at a wolf and think they need to run and stay away from them but I'm different from other wolves. I love people but not all people love me. I stopped thinking about that when I heard the door to Myla's room open. I lifted my head to look at who opened it and saw it was Mike, Myla's dad. I knew he wanted to wake Myla up but I decided to do that for him. But he left that to me since it was my job. I sniffed and licked Myla's face and she groaned opening her bright grey almost white eyes smiling. She reached out her hands to my face and pet me as I continued to lick her. "Good morning Miraculum" she said. I got the name Miraculum from when I first met Myla and brought her joy and helped her know where to go without running into any walls or other objects. Her parents said it was a miracle and that's what my name means but in latin. Myla got up and I jumped down from her bed and lead her to her clothes that she put on. Once she was finished I led her to the kitchen where her mom Abigail and her dad were waiting. "Good morning darling" Her mom and dad said at the same time. "Good morning" Myla answered before she found a seat and ate her breakfast which was laying there for her. Once I knew she was taken care of I went to my food bowl and ate my breakfast. "Did you hear that there will be two new horses arriving today?" I heard Mike say before he sipped his coffee. "I did but I'm not sure if the town made a good choice on buying the appaloosa that is said to be gentle. Something about her picture seems like she's still very wild" Abigail answered a hint of worry and concern in her voice as she cleaned up the kitchen counters. "Well, I think the Appaloosa and pinto will be a good addition to the town" Mike said. I wonder what they mean by new addition to the town. When I finished my breakfast and so did Myla, Mike put a service vest on me with a large handle on it for Myla to grab and hold onto so I could lead her to where ever she wanted to go. "Dad, when will these new horses arrive?" Myla asked as she got up and walked to me. "I'll come find you when they are about to arrive" Mike said before he added "Now you can go outside and do what ever you want to until then." Myla nodded before she grabbed the handle on my vest and followed me as I led her outside.
I in joyed the nice summer Texas heat on my fur as I led Myla to the horse pastures. That's where we went every morning. I could tell she loved them as much as we loved each other. She had asked her parents for a horse once but they immediately declined and said she could get hurt caring or riding the horse. I could feel her disappointment and her anger about being told what she could or couldn't do since she was blind. When we reached pasture one all the horses crowded around the fence reaching their head through the wooden fence begging for attention and love that Myla loved to give to the horses. I laid down beside Myla's legs and watched her as she pet and stroked the horses. As I watched her pet the horses I wondered what these new horses would be like.
After a few minutes at the pasture I heard Mike calling for Myla so I got up and nudged her legs. She understood why I was doing that since she had heard him too. Since she was blind her other senses became stronger. She grabbed the handle and I lead her to where her father was waiting. "There you are honey. The new horses are arriving soon" he said as he put his arm around Myla and lead her to where a crowd had gathered. What was so special about these new horses? After a few minutes of waiting I saw a trailer pull up towards us. I sat down by Myla's feet and watched as two men came out of the truck pulling the trailer. They introduced themselves to be Max and Joey and had a cricked smile on their faces. I snarled. Something about these men wasn't right. My attention went from the men to the trailer where Joey had went. I heard harsh and aggressive neighs from one of the horses and once she came out I was stunned. She had incredible markings but what I liked about her was her spirit, even though I heard Max say she's gentled but just nervous right now her spirit was very strong. It wasn't hard to tell he was lying. Once the brown and white stallion was lead out I saw he had definitely been gentled and better cared for. The mare dragged Joey with her as she moved closer to the stallion who looked at her then to the crowd. I saw the mare's bright green eyes look towards me and Myla. Even though she seemed to be very angry with humans she looked at me and Myla with curiosity and kindness in her bright green eyes.
