Miraculum's POVI fell asleep till morning when I woke up to the rooster crowed. It was six in the morning but it felt like three o'clock. I was tired. It came back to me though. Myla! Imani! I jumped up to my feet and licked Myla's face as I whined a little. A bandage covered her forehead and it seemed to be full of blood. I whined again and I finally got a response. She groaned as her face twitched. She was alive! Thank god! I laid down beside her again and continued to lick her face. She finally opened her eye but, something was different about them. They weren't a cloudy dark grey anymore. They were a beautiful bright silver. She squinted her eyes from the sunlight that was coming through the windows before she looked towards me. I quickly wagged my tail and barked happily. "Miraculum" she said softly as she looked around her room. I barked again and she smiled brightly. "I... I can see you" she gasped in joy. S-she could see me!? I barked happily and jumped off her bed and looked at her as I continued barking. She looked at me and then the ground and her eyes were full of wonder. She got off her bed and stood up looking around at the bright blue walls and white windows. All this was new to her now that she some how gained her sight. How could this have happened? The question rang in my head but I knew this was a miracle! I barked again and quickly ran outside the room and flew down the stairs. Myla followed a few feet behind as she was taking it slow. I barked as I stood at the bottom of the stairs. Myla's mother was in the living room close to the stairs and was on the couch. She looked over at me confused. I looked at her barking then I looked up the stairs at Myla who was now stepping onto the first floor. I heard her mother gasp as she jumped up from the couch and looked at Myla. "Myla" she gasped as she walked over. "Mom" she answered with a huge smile on her face. "I... I can s.see you" She stuttered full of excitement. Her mother was speechless as she just knelt down to Myla's level and looked into Myla's silver eyes. They sparkled with joy as they hugged. I barked again wagging my tail and Myla's father came from the kitchen that was close by as well. He was quiet but when he looked into his daughters eyes as she looked back at him, he was almost in tears, and he's never the one to cry. I have to admit, this is the first time I've seen him cry. He quickly joined the group hug and they stayed there for at least three minutes.
Shoot! Imani! I completely forgot about her! I whined and barked as I ran to the front door. The dog door was closed so I just stood at the front door scratching it and whining. "Miraculum?" Myla walked over to me looking me in my eyes as I looked in hers. I saw it click and she threw the door open for us both. "Myla!" Her parents screamed as we ran outside and towards the barn. I ran ahead since Myla didn't know where to go. When we arrived at the stable door, the same car that the vets were in yesterday was there. I whined as I waited for Myla to open the door. She pulled it open and I ran in. Eric was at the stall door just laying his arms crossed on the top of the stall door with his head in his arms. He looked like he was half way asleep so I just slipped through the hole that was in the wall and into Imani's stall. What I saw was something I wanted to unsee. Two vets were in the stall as well. They were on their knees, one at Imani's side and another near her back legs. She on the ground flat and was breathing but it was kind of faint. Sparrow was laying down behind her and he was passed out as well. I whined as I walked over to Imani's head and licked her muzzle. I scared the vets for they both jumped when they saw me. "Go! Shoo!" They scolded but I just snarled at them as I curled up beside Imani's neck. They looked at me with a bit of fear in their eyes as I continued to snarl at them when they reached towards me. Myla came running towards the stall door and when she looked at Imani, her silver eyes were now full of tears as her hands were over her mouth to quiet the gasp that she let out. It was loud enough though. Eric woke up startled and just about fell over while Sparrow just jerked his head up. When Eric recovered he looked at Myla who was in tears as they ran down her face like they were streams. I wanted to cry as well. I had left Imani alone with that cougar and now Imani is.... like this. It was hard not to blame myself for this. I was the one who left her. Whining I laid my head on top of Imani's neck. I saw Eric hug Myla who was just breaking down in tears. I heard her mumble words but they were to muffled for me to catch them. I felt Sparrow nuzzle me before he laid his head beside Imani's. I saw so many bandages on her as well as some deep cuts that had to be stitched up. She looked like she was fixed but I could tell that it would probably be a while till she wakes up. She had to still be exhausted for her body was healing and it would need a lot of energy to heal all these wounds. The stall door opened and Myla walked in as the vets walked out. She collapsed to her knees by Imani's face and she placed her hand on Imani's face. I watched her as she cried. I saw her eyes were full of sorrow and guilt. I knew exactly how she felt, for I had the same emotions mixed inside of me.
