Sorry for the hold up! Here's what you guys've been waiting for!

After school ended, Bridgette stopped by a bookstore to buy some new workbooks. She made a mental note to keep her books in a backpack from now on. The best she could do was at least try to avoid some of Lila's bullying. She could tell more was coming after that one.

Bridgette got home late that day and her parents asked her where she'd been. She answered as honest as she could, doing her best to hide the fact that she was being bullied (if you could even call it that since Lila was going the classic route) at school.

She crashed on her bed and was met with Tikki's tongue licking her face a few moments later. Bridgette giggled as she pulled the cat close and snuggled into her.

"Aww, it's good to see you too, Tikki."

She started on her homework and was called downstairs for dinner later. When she finished, she helped her parents clean up before going back upstairs and finishing her homework. Bridgette worked so late into the night that she passed out on her desk and slept with drool dribbling down her face and a white cat sleeping on her head.

(A page break brought to you by no one special [me])

Bridgette's eyes fluttered open and immediately landed on the clock. 8:40 am. And school started at 8:30.

Bridgette yelped as she shot up. She didn't hear the cat's yowl as it was thrown to the floor. Bridgette rushed to her closet, grabbed some clothes, and quickly changed into them. She then ran down her stairs.

"Why didn't they wake me up?! I'm super late!" Bridgette screamed in her mind as she reached the kitchen.

On the counter was a sticky note that read, "Sorry Bridgette! The bakery is already packed! Please make breakfast on your own! Love, Maman and Papa

Bridgette sighed. The least they could have done was woken her up. They left her to fend for herself.

Deciding to skip breakfast, Bridgette left the house through the back and ran to school.

After much scolding throughout the day, Bridgette slumped on the picnic table. The shady tree over her head was her only comfort as her friends joined her at the table.

"Girl, pick your head up! You're gonna get a crick in your neck!" Alya said as she slapped her back playfully.

At that, Bridgette's stomach growled, earning a groan from said girl.

"Uuuggghhh... I didn't have breakfast this morning and I couldn't pack a lunch... I'm starving..." She mumbled into her arm.

Nino laughed. "Probably shouldn't have slept in so late, huh?"

Bridgette grumbled in response, her stomach resonating with her.

A short sigh was heard, followed by the words, "Here," and a poke at her arm. Bridgette looked up to see Felix's solemn face.

He thrust the sandwich at Bridgette again before shaking it at her. "I'm not hungry. Do you want it or not?"

Hastily, Bridgette snatched the sandwich before inspecting it.

"Shouldn't a rich kid like you have a fancier lunch? Like a medium-rare steak and sparkling water and a nice silk tablecloth and a candle-" Bridgette ranted Before Felix cur her off.

"I asked them to make me a normal lunch. Just eat it already."

Bridgette simply nodded and bit into the sandwich. Her eyes widened as her mouth exploded with flavor.

"W-What is this?! (Insert food connoisseur ranting)" Bridgette gushed.

"Whatever I had in my kitchen, I guess," Felix shrugged in reply.

Bridgette stuffed the whole thing in her mouth and swallowed. She let out a content sigh.

"Your kitchen is heaven."

Everyone laughed.

———————————————

Bridgette definitely wasn't liking today. Classes just let up for everyone to go home and she somehow managed to get shoved against a wall in the most desolate part of the school.

Lila loomed above her, scowling. Bridgette's arms were trapped by hands and held up against the wall behind her. The stuck-up brat's perfume practically choked the air out of Bridgette's lungs. Her 'friends' (more like servants) smirked at the sight as Lila's grip tightened and Bridgette winced at the pain shooting up her arm.

"I told you to stay away from him," She practically hissed, reminding the bluenette of a snake.

Bridgette glared at Lila. "He's my friend and I can do what I want."

Lila snapped. She lifted her hand and slapped Bridgette hard across the right of her face, following up with a punch to the left. Bridgette's eyes widened as she felt something oozing from her lip. She fell to her knees.

"Who said you had an opinion?!" Lila screeched, kicking Bridgette in the side and knocking her onto the ground. "Last time I checked, you were a hopeless nobody that practically drooled and worshipped my Felix!" She kicked her in the back and Bridgette coughed. "When I tell you to stay away, STAY AWAY!"

Lila brought her pink high heels down on Bridgette's stomach and stomped hard, the heel of the shoe digging deep into her gut. Bridgette choked and felt a warm substance climb up her throat and spill out of the corner of her mouth. Blood.

Above her, Lila smirked, motioning for her 'friends' to join in the beating. They happily complied. The hits were so hard that Bridgette gradually grew numb to them. The only thing she could hear was the sound of her shallow, slow breath. Her vision blurred as she watched them beat her. Why did they seem so far away...?

Her vision slowly turned black and one thing crossed her mind.

"What have I gotten into...?"

Me: For some reason, I like drawing and/or writing characters all bruised and bloody and hurt...

Me: Am I a sadist...?

Sister: *nods*

Oh yeah-! Happy (late) Halloween!
