heartbreaker

Here we go

Welcome to my life, basically saying, welcome to living hell. My life's probably the worst you'd see, just imagine never having a stroke of luck and never finding a lucky clover. Yup, that's me.

You probably think I'm being dramatic but you'll see. At least I have an amazing bestie that's what I'm grateful for.

I walk into school and go to the usual hangout spot that me and my friends meet at in the morning. We usually talk about how we want to burn down the school or whatever.

Today was different, I'd tell my bestie that I like someone. I feel nauseous and have this bubbly feeling in my stomach.

Before class starts...

I see Emma in the distance and walk up to her to confess.

"Hey Emma, can I tell you something?"

Emma- "Sure Maddy, what's up?"

"I may or may not have a crush on Liam"

Emma- "Hold up, Liam? So cute. It's about time you fall for someone, so when did this whole thing develop?"

"Idk I guess I just noticed how good friends we are and started from there"

Emma- "Ooooh, there he is now. HEY LIAM HIII!!"

"EMMA keep it down, I don't want anyone to know"

Emma- "Chill I was messing with you that wasn't even him. Ok let's get to class, what do you have now?"

"I have science, I'll just drop you and head to the lab"

Emma- "Sounds good, also tell me if anything happens between you two, try talking to him maybe?"

We walked to class together.

"Don't get your hopes up Emma we're just friends anyway. I'd rather we STAY friends than ruining the friendship by dating, besides he would never feel the same"

Emma- "Sheesh, give it a chance what's there to lose?"

"We're here, where do you want to meet in break?"

Emma- " Canteen, I guess"

"Ok, have a good one"

I hadn't answered Emma's question. Was she right? Should I give this a go? What's there to lose huh? I could lose him if either one of us hurts the other, relationships never work out in the end anyway.

Here we go, heading to class, why do I feel worried? I think the talk with Emma got to me, after all Liam was in my class and we're like best friends we texted over the summer and I'm excited and nervous to see him today.

Science teacher- "Everybody take your seats"

I walk up to my friends sitting together.

"Hey Ava, Mia. Can I join you guys?"

Ava- "No, not really"

What's gotten into them? Are we not friends anymore.

Mia- "Why don't you go sit with Liam?"

I turn back blinking away my tears, I walk up to an empty table and sit there. Alan, my distant friend then walks in.

Science teacher- "Alan, Liam, late to class on the first day, take your seats"

Liam's with him, great. Prepare to have a meltdown right in front of him and I'm sitting at the only empty table they're bound to sit with me. See? Told you I'm the unluckiest.
