Chapter 2: Simply be kind

"Hey Mandy", says Richard

"Yo, wassup Rich", as my funny reply

"eww, not your style dude"

"Hahahaha", as my response while looking at the disgusted face Richard is making.

Richard Blaire, is one of my closest friends here in school. He's tall with his 5 feet and 9 inches height. As you can gather his an athlete in our school, his quite handsome and popular with the girls. I love to tease him cause even though his popular he's actually a closet gay, and only I know his secret, at least that's what he told me.

"So, what happen now?" , I asked with a grin on my face.

"What? Just because were here talking does that automatically mean I did something?" , He replied as if guilty himself

"Hala siya, nagtatanong lang ho"

I saw him about to talked but then he paused

"Rich?"

"HEY KURT!" , Rich shouted

I turn my head where he was facing and I saw Kurt Jameson, the Handsome Genius as people describe him. No doubt he is smart with his high GPA every semester. I guess even Richard has a thing for him. I mean, I know his handsome but he doesn't make ma heart flutter the way I read manga's or watch anime.

"Hey Richard", greeted by Kurt walking towards us. "Hi Amanda", as he notices me.

"Hi Kurt", my simple response

"So Kurt you up for tonight's movie night at Lim's right?" , eagerly ask by Rich

"Hmm, I'm not really sure Rich, tomorrow I have to attend an event that a friend of mine is participating in and it's quite early" , says Kurt

"Oh man! That's a bummer, well, some other time then?", Says Richard

"Yeah, Oh I've got to go, see you next semester Rich. Bye Amanda"

​As Kurt walks away I elbowed Richard

"Ang sabihin mo, plano mong kayo lang dalawa magkasama mamayang gabi", I whispered to Richard

"SHUT UP! May get together talaga kami ng team", insisted by Richard

"Just kidding", I smiled to him

"Diba ang gwapo niya, smart and very gentle nakakagigil", says Richard

"Sige manggigil kapa andito pa tayo sa school, baka malahata ka"

"CHE!", says Rich while pinching my arm

"What's the matter? I mean this sem you haven't hang out much"

"Kasi, tomorrow I have to attend my sisters fashion show dun sa XX mall but....", stopped by Rich

"But tonight you have a 'sleep over with the team' and you gonna ask me to attend for you?"

"Well..... yes its really early in the morning and I might not make it, I already told her about and sabi niya okay lang daw basta ikaw daw kapalit. So please MANDY please", plead by Rich

"Naku kung di lang kita kaibigan at pasalamat ka at wala akong schedule na tutorial bukas", I said as a yes to him

"YES! I LOVE YOU MANDY!", scream by Rich

​His voice echoed the hall and the students turned our way. Richard became so flustered that he became speechless. Everybody was buzzing. Yung whisper pero naririnig mo naman

"ano daw? Sila naba?" , sabi ng isang estudyante

"Nanliligaw pala si Richard sa kanya?" Sabing ng isa pa

"But ... but.... No!!"

​I had to think something fast.

"Yup, that acting was perfect. You can really nail the part", agad kong sabi

"Hahaha you think?, I was really looking forward to participate next semesters drama performance to add to my resume in the future", awkward reply Richard

"Sumali ka nalang sa PBB, sige alis na ako Richard punta muna ako sa library", as I was about to leave

"Sige, see you Mandy"

​I wave as I walked away and I saw Richard mouth out the word thank you.
