A/N: We've reached 1k! Thank you all so much for being this supportive.
Harry,
Since I'd woken up at six Saturday morning, my mind decided to wake me up at the exact same time the following one. It was blindingly bright outside.
Louis and I had fallen asleep back-to-back.
It was safe to say we weren't back-to-back anymore.
Before I'd even opened my eyes, I was able to detect a warm hand resting in the curve of my spine and a pair of soft lips softly breathing against my cheek. It was unmistakable that Louis was enduring the deepest stage of his sleep cycle, because even when I shuffled to feel his stomach closely lined with my own, or giggled into his neck because of how giddy I felt in that position, he didn't move or shudder and inch. If anything, his arm just seemed to tighten around me.
It was easier to fall asleep like this. So I dozed off after five minutes. Or less. I can just remember him breathing soothingly in my ear.
The second time I woke up, what had awakened me wasn't the bright lighting from the big windows. It was the sound of the tap running in the en suite. Louis was no longer holding me nor resting his face on my cheek. He was brushing his teeth, it seemed. And the intensified scent of my shampoo made me suspect that he'd taken a shower. There was a smile growing on my features when I laid there, wondering what he'd first say after returning from the bathroom.
But he was taking forever.
So I decided to join him in there as a surprise.
A faint cloud of fog oozed out of the en suite, which was only halfway shut by its door. Louis' frame was then the only touch of colour inside the dull bathroom where he stood, shaving his jaw with my razor. There was only a white towel dangling from his hips, which nicely sculpted out his curves at the back. I'd felt guilty for staring, so I stopped. Instead, I tapped the door lightly to push it all the way open.
Louis didn't even flinch.
"Morning," he crooned, half-enthusiastic. I figured he was hiding the second half due to his attempt of the super-cool, macho character he was putting on. "Mind if I borrow this?" He swiped the blades right above his upper lip. "It's a bit late to say no."
"As long as you didn't use it for your pubes in the shower."
Louis snorted gleefully. "I contemplated it."
I frowned and let my shoulder line up with the door frame. "You're disgusting."
"It's nothing you haven't touched before."
I rolled my eyes and mentally thanked the room for being heated so that I could silently blame it for causing my cheeks to go red.
"Stole my shampoo as well?" Louis nodded proudly. "Shower gel?" He proceeded bobbing his head to confirm while washing the razor under the tap. "And you claim that we aren't a married couple?"
Louis laughed before washing his face. "We're rivals, and I steal your stuff. Just like I'm gonna steal your clothes after this, cos I'm not going back wearing that stupid blanket. It's itchy and pointless."
Once he exited, he playfully bumped his shoulder into mine and skipped over to the bed. I'd wanted to stay in the door and watch him get dressed, but I decided it was best that I'd get clean as well.
I'd never taken a quicker shower in my entire life.
Since it was originally a two-person room, there were two towels excluding the shower robe I'd worn the night before. Louis had stolen the clean one, so I wrapped myself in the one that was barely dry from yesterday. I wore it exactly like him, hoping I'd look just as good as he did.
