A Promise Is A Promise (LAST CHAPTER)

The Place

Luke's POV:

I finally got there a large open grass medow such a beautiful place that we called ours... I heard the faint sound of I Miss You by Blink 182 one of our favourie bands... 

This is kind of creepy...

The tall grass swaying in the faint wind, the full moon out, and the tune buzzing silently through the air. 'Hello?' I called out I heard footsteps sprinting behind me I turned around and nothing was there but the shadows of trees cascading over the open grass land.

I sit on the floor letting the flashbacks take over... Memories of having picnics water fights the best time of our lives right here on this medow.

HALF AN HOUR LATER

Ashton's POV:

I was pacing back and forth 'God where could he be!' 'I feel so bad for snapping on him like that now he's been gone for half an hour what if he got hurt or something! He didn't even take his phone!' Biting my lip as Calum and Michael tried to calm  me down 'It's okay mate he might just be calming down somewhere.' 

'But what if he is doing what that note said and i going to 'their place' where ever that is!'  I felt sick I shouldn't have snapped at him he's having a hard time I know that but he just seemed to be shutting everyone out and I wanted to help him. 'I'm going to check his phone maybe the person who he met with knows anything!' I ran over to Luke's room and snatched up his phone from the set of drawers beside his bed

1 New Message!

I unlocked his phone I knew his passcode was '1996' and checked the message 

The Text:

From: Stephanie

Hey Luke! I need to tell you something it's important and it's about (Y/N)!

What is it?

You know the medow? She well someone put a brides maid dress on my bed with a note telling me to go there.

Same but not the dress my suit was just laid out on the bed. Are you going?

Are you kidding me she might still be alive HELL YEAH I'M GOING!

Okay meet you there!

Luke don't go! I went and no one was there all that was there was a cd player playing I Miss You Don't Go! 

Text Over:

'The medow he went to the medow!' I screamed and ran out to my car and drove as wast as I could to the medow.

Luke's POV: It felt like I've been sitting her forever I left my phone at the housr to stop anyone trying to stop me from coming here I was supposed to meet Stephanie here but she hasn't showed up yet... Suddenly the sky becomes cloudy and there is a flash of light 'Didn't know there was going to be a storm today... Maybe I should head back no one is here.' 

'That's what you think...' I heard a whisper but nothing or no one was there...

Ashton's POV: 

The clear sky was filled with stars as I wandered around in the medow finding nothing not even a trace of anyone being here for a couple months but how? Where could Luke be? I saw two lights flickering in the distance I slowly aproched them and it was Luke's car empty and aandoned out in the middle of nowhere 'LUKE! WHERE ARE YOU?' I exclaimed as loud as I could but nothing not even a slightly audible whisper of the wind answered me 'This doesn't seem right he would have gone back by now but he wouldn't leave his car here...'  

No one's POV: 

As Luke sat on the grass the sky was alive with lights crashing to the floor again and again the figure just sat there motionless waiting but did he know what he was waiting for? 

Stephanie's POV: 

'Oh my god I think he went I didn't warn him in time! OH MY GOD! What if something happens?' Pacing back and fourth trying to concentrate on something but her mind just wandered back to the medow where it started to become strange...

Luke's POV:

'Wow Stephanie isn't showing I guess and whoever left me the note isn't either!' Another whisper 

'Oh Luke i'm lready here...' 

The voice, wind or whatever it was had a harsh unkind tone it didn't sound like her at all. As I stood up patting away at the blades of grass that have stuck to my suit away 'it's getting late I'm going home' I mutter to myself and who ever or whatever else was listening. I headed back to were I thought I left my car but it wasn't there not even the ground was disturbed,

Maybe I parked somewhere else and my memory is just a little foggy? I nod in agreement to my own thoughts and search for my car. Wondering around as the flashes of light became louder and louder my ears were ringing from the painfully loud sound, I heard whispers and footsteps around me but it was pitch black I spun around and round trying to figure out what was happening but I made myself dizzy and fell to the ground clutching me head the ringing became louder and louder I heard a faint scream and the crash then the flashback started...

FLASHBACK:

'(Y/N) I've got band practice you going to be okay driving home alone I can come pick you up.' I worried about her walking home because I just didn't want anything to happen to her she was the sunshine in my universe I worry about her so much 'I'm okay remember you said you'd always put the band before m and we agreed.' I sighed 'I just worry about you babe I'll be home soon.' The call ended after we said See you later. We never said 'Goodbye' ecause that suggested we wouldn't see each other again so we insisted on always aying 'See you later or See you soon' Little did we both know tonight was Goodbye...

END OF FLASHBACK: 

Ashton's POV: 

I've been searching for hours whith no sign of Luke. My mind was drifting to and fro worrying about Luke staying to blaming myself... 

Luke's POV: 

I woke up from the flashback whith tears streaming down my face when I felt a hand on my sholder and whispering in my ear 'We promised to never say Goodbye...' Those words echoed and echoed inside my head I hugged my knees close to my chest as the tears dropped onto the material, 

'We had to  break the promise I'm sorry... i'm sorry!' I screamed.

'Stay with me Luke...' The whispering got louder and clearer now. 'Who ... who's aying that?' I forced the words out there was no reply I saw flickering lights in the distance.

Someone's here I thought to myself lifting away from the ground and making my way towards the flickering lights slowly. I discovered that it was my car 'Strange..' I said to myself and got in the keys are still ready to be turned to start the car but as soon as I rech for it I hear someone scream 'No! You can't leave me! Not again!' A very high pitched scream followed and the window glass shattered the car began to move on it's own and I was flung forwards covered in glass I banged my head on the steering wheel... I blacked out...
