[ Jaelah's Pov ]I sat in the driveway of JaeHwa's home for at least fifteen minutes after I was let through the massive gates.
My mind was taken over by so any different thoughts, all running through my mind at the possibilities that this dinner could go in. Even though I already knew the most likely outcome.
The thought of him trying to force this falsehood of family was making me physically sick. I had already accepted my reality, so there was no need for this little get together he planned. I've read through the contract myself, with the help of Hoseok, taking out things that I didn't agree with. What more was there to discuss?
I sighed, taking my head off of the stirring wheel, staring at the giant fountain that stood in the middle of the massive yard. That unsettling feeling settled in the pit of my stomach. The very sight of the house bringing back unwanted memories as I looked over at the front door of the mansion.
"Jaelah whatever you do, just try to hold your composure. Don't let them see that part of you that you've tried so hard to move on from. I know it's hard to do, just try." I spoke to myself.
I was tired of giving these people the reaction that they wanted from me. They wanted to see me miserable and angry just so they can have something to hold over my head. I didn't want to give them the satisfaction of it anymore. I didn't want to give them my energy anymore.
With a deep breath in, I let out one more sigh before nodding my head firmly.
I opened my car door, stepping out before shutting and locking it behind me. I straightened out my outfit, and begin to make my way over to the house.

I entered the home when one of the staff opened the door and begin to lead me over to the dinning room.
" Your father and sister are waiting for you to start dinner. Please enjoy." The woman said stiffly, walking away to continue on with her duties.
I schooled my features, erasing any emotions from my face as I pushed the large oak wood doors open. I was greeted by the sight of JaeHwa and that demon spawn sitting at the table, him being at the head of the table and her in his right side.
" Jaelah. I'm happy you could join us today." He spoke up.
I ignored his words, and preceded to sit at the opposite end of the table. Putting my head in my hand, showing my complete disinterest at being here.
I smiled on the inside, hearing Ha-Yoon let out a scoff. Good. I hope I get entirely under her skin. It's only right to return the favor they've so graciously given me.
JaeHwa cleared his throat as he begin speaking up again. " I hope you have been faring well these past few days Jaelah." He spoke to me again, trying to ease me into conversation with him.
I held back on rolling my eyes at his words. Did he really think this pseudo innocent act would work in his favor? After threatening to destroy my life and take my daughter away from me? Oh how I wish he would drop dead so that he could burn in the deepest pits of hell.
Even so, my thoughts remained only in my head as I continued to ignore his words, deciding instead to focus my attention on my silvery glittery coffin shaped gel nails that were in serious need of a fill in.
Silence fell over the room once again, the copious amounts of food that filled the long dinner table long forgotten.
I heard my phone let out a ding, notifying me of a text message that I received. I took my phone from my back pocket and turned my phone on, seeing that it was Hoseok who texted me.
