Touko's Sinnoh Journey

CHAPTER 2

Touko walks down the hallway searching for an empty compartment to make hers for the next four days. Finally nearing the end of the hallway she finds a compartment, and drops her bag onto the small bed. "You sure packed lightly!" Touko jumps and turns around startled to find a tall, lean, brown straight haired young man's face peeping out from behind her door. "Oh, uh yeah. I'm a trainer so I travel around a lot..." she shrugs her shoulders. "Oh!! I'm a Pokémon trainer as well! So you're traveling to Sinnoh too? Guess we'll be neighbors for these next couple of days!" The young man replies happily with joy. "Uh... heh yeah I guess. It's my first time in Sinnoh so I'm pretty excited myself. You can come in if ya want..." Touko smiles kindly, happy to have found herself another trainer.

The young man walks in, he was wearing dark blue jeans, black combat boots, a navy blue peacoat, and a black scarf. The dark blue of the peacoat accentuated his blue eyes, giving off the illusion of his eyes glowing. "Well, I'm Kyto!" Kyto walks closer and holds his hand out for a handshake "I'm Touko, it's pretty cool to meet you Kyto!" The two shake hands happily while smiling. "So why are you going to Sinnoh?" Touko asks curiously while taking off the layer of winter apparel and placing them neatly on her bed. "Well, Unova was getting a bit boring for me... so I'm going off to train my Pokémon and challenge the Elite 4! How about you Touko?" He properly asks back as Touko takes a seat on the edge of her bed "Well, believe it or not... the same reasons as you!" Touko replies energetically. Kyto doesn't look surprised, he just nods his head in agreement and smiles. "Well, how about we have a little battle test? Hmm? See who's got more experience with battling?" Kyto asks with a flirtatious grin. Touko laughs "Well, Kyto, you may win with your charming looks... but, I think I may just have to wipe that cute little smirk right off your face!" She snaps back while pointing at Kyto wildly. Kyto blushes lightly, and laughs "Hmm is that so?? Well, we'll just have to wait and see now won't we?" He replies mischievously.

Touko stands up and shrugs her pink zip up windbreaker off, leaving her wearing black skinny jeans, her pink and black boots, and a black off the shoulder knitted sweater. "I'll uh... go get my team ready..." Kyto stutters "Yeah ok! I'll wait out in the hallway for ya." Kyto walks out of the compartment leaving Touko in her room, she grabs her pink bag and slings it over her shoulder. She walks out to the hall and waits for her oncoming challenger. Kyto walks out from the compartment right in front of hers, no longer wearing a navy blue peacoat but a light grey crew neck cable knit sweater and carrying a black satchel across his torso.

They walk down the hallway quietly eventually reaching the end to a metal door. Kyto opens the door and holds the door open for Touko to enter first. "Thanks!" She walks into the empty battle room, consisting of painted white lines on the black tiled floor making a large rectangular box. "Hmm... it's a bit smaller than I remember." Touko thinks aloud in awe while slowly strolling around. "Yeah same here! I would guess we've grown since the last time we have been here..." Kyto replies nostalgically. Touko walks to the side of the rectangle farthest away from the door. Taking her place, she opens her pink bag to look for a certain pokéball. "I'm not the most organized person..." she mumbles while digging deeper into her bag. "Aha! Here it is!" Touko exclaims proudly and waving an ultra ball, a black pokéball with two yellow stripes making a "U" shape, in the air. Kyto opens up his satchel and pulls out a black premier ball, an all black pokéball with a thin gold line and two red lines around the center, "I think, this fella will do the job..." he teases Touko while polishing the already shiny pokéball on his sweater. "Well Mr. Fancypants, I hate to break it to you but, expensive pokéballs won't win ya anything!" Touko says mocking his actions with her ultra ball. "Yeah, yeah, let's just get this started already!" He replies excitedly and takes his stance. "Ok we both have 3 Pokémon, the battle is over when one opponent has no more able Pokémon to fight with!" Touko announces and Kyto nods his head in agreement. "Fair enough! Now! Let's battle!"
