Levi put his phone down and looked at the clock. 8:53pm. He sighed and rubbed his face. He could hear the sound of Peter, his step-dad, going through the liquor cabinet. "Fucking deadbeat." He muttered.

He absolutely hated Peter. When his mom, Holly, married him when Levi was eleven Peter was way better. He was nice enough and good to him and his mom. Then two years later his mom died of cancer. They didn't even know she had it until it was too late. Ever since then Peter changed...big time. Levi was only thirteen.

Originally he was going to live with his birth dad but he wasn't wanted by him. So Peter got full custody of him. And became a total asshole. Peter was a pro at keeping appearances. He worked with Hanji's parents as teen psychologists. But he just couldn't seem to get Levi.

During the day Peter was a self-composed professional, kind man. Then he got home from work. The man would do nothing but insult and judge Levi for every little thing he did. For his cleaning obsession, his short height, and would even go as low as insulting his real dad.

As time went on Peter started drinking and got violent with Levi, and instead of taking it Levi fought back. He was a great fighter because of Peter.

So now here is sixteen year-old Levi, sitting in his room and thinking vile thoughts about the man. "I hate him so damn much." He ran a hand through his hair and stood up. To calm down he started to clean his room and bathroom...again.

Dusting, sweeping, bleaching, scrubbing, wiping, folding, and organizing. Levi developed this habit after his mom died. It was a way of "coping" as Hanji's mom put it. And because of this coping method he didn't need to see a psychologist. Thank the Lord.

When he finished Levi looked at the clock. 11:00pm. "Holy shit." He suddenly remembered that he was taking pictures with Eren in the park tomorrow and needed sleep.

Eren. Levi couldn't wait to see him. There was something about the boy that he couldn't quite but his finger on. Why didn't he talk? He wondered.

Pulling out a pair of shorts and t-shirt he slipped them on and quickly crawled under his blanket. Then he remembered he forgot to do something. Slipping out of the bed he patted into the bathroom and took out his contacts. He then slipped on his glasses. They were black and "hipster style" as Hanji called them. Levi didn't mind wearing them, they just got dirty so easily it annoyed the piss out of him. But he will have to wear them tomorrow, considering he seemed to take better pictures when he has them on instead.

Then made his way back to his bed, setting the glasses on his bedside table and laying down. The smash of a bottle could be heard from downstairs. "Drunk idiot." He muttered before falling asleep.
