The next day at my new school was the same. I made no new friend except the girls in the gymnastics club.
I wore a sleeveless green blouse to school today, with skinny jeans stylishly torn at the knees and green strappy sandals. Today I wore no makeup, the only things adorning my face were jade green earrings on my ears.Belcalis persuaded us to eat lunch faster as her twin brother was having basketball practice with his team. I mean we got to the cafe and started eating lunch.
The others were excited and eager to go the basketball court, they said the school's basketball court team consisted of cool and gorgeous boys."Oh I really wish Jack asks me to go to prom with him." Natasha said out of the blue with a dreamy smile on her face.
Amy rolled her eyes. "You still haven't gotten over your crush on Jack Thompson since ninth grade, Tasha."
"It's not a crush. I love him." Tasha whispered so other people couldn't hear her secret.
Mabel rolled her eyes dramatically. "Then it's probably infatuation, babe.""Infatuation? I know how I feel." Natasha sighed. "But seriously it's been almost three years now and honestly I don't even know if he knows I exist. I mean he never even noticed me in this school."
Belcalis chuckled. "Then quit falling for him Tasha."
Natasha inhaled sharply. "Honestly I find it hard to.""So what's going on between you and Facett?" Belcalis asked as we sat down in the basketball court.
I gave her a really weird look. "You mean Benjamin?"
"Yeah." She nodded without taking her eyes off me.
"Why even ask me that Bel?"
She dilly-dallied before answering me. "Well he sorta took you home yesterday, I saw you get into his car so I was wondering if he asked you out on your first day here.""Pffft!" I couldn't even control my wild laugh at all.
The girls turned to look at me wanting to know what was so funny to me.
"You think I'm some kinda girl who says yes to a guy I just met? Come on Bel, you don't even know me at all."
Amy rolled her eyes. "Don't mind Bel, she jumps into conclusion a lot. Every time."
I chuckled softly. "Obviously."
Bel played with her fingers. "I don't mean it that way Trisha."I answered to satisfy her curiosity. "He's my neighbor, he lives next door to my new house."
Belcalis breathed a sigh of relief which bewildered me. "Okay."
"Ur, is Benjamin a bad guy?" I couldn't help asking.
She shook her head nervously. "Nothing. He's a good guy."
Tasha rolled her eyes. "Oh zip it, you two. Let's concentrate. Jack is so good at basketball."It was true, the school's basketball team boys were pretty and damn looking good. They were all tall.
"Oh look at Jack's great body." Natasha said with googly eyes staring at her crush.
Well, I can't blame her for crushing on him. He was 6'1 tall, fair-skinned and muscular. He had a lustrous blond hair that was tousled, a beautiful pair of beady brown eyes and a cute nose."Yes Xander! Hit another score." A girl behind us cheered her boyfriend on in a loud manner.
Belcalis groaned. "Oh Tracy, she's a pain in the ass. Why does she have to be so loud just 'cause her boyfriend is playing."Natasha sighed. "You know, if Jack was my boyfriend I'd do the same but if I cheer him in that way now for him to notice me, he'd think I'm some weird girl."
"Well you are. You're crazily weird 'bout him." Avery shrugged suggestively.
Belcalis nodded. "I agree to that. Avery's right, Tasha."
Natasha rolled her eyes. "Really? Well, whatever."As the game went on, I noticed Kyson look at me in a really creepy way that made my insides turn. In a good way.
It's weird but I think I like it.
He kept staring at me till he got distracted that he didn't even see the boy trying to toss the ball to him.
His short, blonde and angry coach yelled. "Yo Dumas! What are you staring at? Focus, dude. Focus and focus."Here's my beloved Kyson Dumas. Hot, isn't he?
He gave me a wink and a smirk then turned to concentrate on his game.
Cocky or what? I thought to myself thinking of his wink.
The girls turned to me smiling in a really sheepish way especially Belcalis and I couldn't even look away from the awkward sight."What?" I played with my fingers with my gaze on them.
Natasha smiled. "Did Kyson just smirk and wink at you?"
I shook my head. "No Tasha it's probably to you."
Belcalis grinned. "It was for you Trisha. Actually you know, my brother is a nice guy so there's no problem if you become friends."
I rolled my eyes warily. "Just a wink and smirk and you guys are like this? It doesn't even mean anything. Think matured.""Uh-huh." Avery giggled. "He was distracted by looking at you."
I groaned and covered my face with my warm palms. "Seriously girls? Urggggh, you're such a pain in my ass."
Oh no. We're like sugar in your ass." Lianna teased.
"Not even funny," I scoffed. When the game ended as lunch was over, the girls walked out of the court leaving me and Belcalis there since we had the same class, History.
We were about walking out when Belcalis' twin brother came jogging to us which made us halt a bit in our steps.
"Hi Trisha." He said, smiling.
"Um hi." I replied without a hint of smile and waved faintly.
Belcalis elbowed the left side of my stomach lightly."Ouch! What was that for?" I gave her a deep frown.
Kyson chuckled huskily. "Don't mind my sister, she can be annoying and as well as irritating at times."
I nodded gently. "I figured."
"Hey you two! I'm not that bad." Belcalis said with a pout.
Kyson rolled his eyes. "I really hate it when you do your face like that."
"Go to hell, jerk."Kyson said gazing into my eyes intently. "So Trisha, can we be friends? Don't think I'm forward or something but I want us to be buds. You know, pals?"
I shrugged. "Well okay. Bye, Bel and I are gonna be late for History if we keep talking."Before entering the class, Bel and I bumped into Ben who had a couple of books in his arms.
"Oh hey Ben, you have History too?" I smiled.
Belcalis stared at me unbelievably, giving me a you've-got-to-be-kidding-me look. "Isn't it obvious, Trisha."
I sighed. "I know, Belcalis. I know, you're something.""What am I?" She folded her arms under her bust.
I smirked deciding to tease her a little bit. "A jerk."
"Urrrg, come on. I'm not that horrible, ya know?"
