"Lord Adrian... he cares" Erina repeated. Did you not see when we called her human. He got angry like I threatened his life" She said.

I glared at her and then she turned to others and said "This meeting has served its purpose" and soon all the elders just vanished from the library.

Adrian's POV

As soon as everyone left, I ventured to the corner door where I saw Elysa sleeping.  I was about to go there when I saw on the screen behind me that Elysa was waiting at the table. I was confused as to where I have to collect her from so that I see only one version.

"Wake her up and you can leave the party Lord Adrian" a voice said and I saw Levine appeared behind me from nowhere.

"This is not a trick Levine right?" I asked him.

"This is no trick Lord Adrian" He said.

I was still suspicious when he said "Lord Adrian I can assure I would not do anything to harm Elysa".

"And I should believe you?" I asked narrowing my eyes.

"Well anyone but not her" He said and left the room.

I shook Elysa up and when I heard loud noise and saw there were bunch of crows in the ballroom swarming around and then they vanished and I had still had Elysa unconscious.

"Seems like still powers are uncontrollable," Levine said.

I looked at him and said "I thought you left".

"I did but could not stop when she surprised everyone with her crows" He said amused.

"What?? Well as soon as you shook her here. She converted herself into millions of crows who swarmed the whole ballroom and seems like they find the destination now" He said and soon all the crows came flying towards us. I was ready to defend her and when they reached me I strike them only to be pushed on ground and they had gone past me only to get absorbed into her.

I was shocked because I have never seen such a display of her powers.

Then she stirred and her eyes fluttered open and she looked around and sat. After some time she asked "Adrian how I came here. I was in the ballroom right?"

I was shocked that she would seem so innocent and human in spite of what happened moments ago. I took her hand we both made our way out of the council house.

The drive to home was totally silent. I could not believe what I say and to know she was so unaware of was a concerning factor. Though all through the drive she kept glancing at me, I could not believe that I could not feel the supernatural energy in her in spite of being with her for past month.

Demon King's POV

After coming back from the party I sat on my throne when Stan appeared and said "My King seems like your lamb is awakening into the tigress. Do you think you must still pursue her".

I chuckled and said "Stan you think you didn't learn anything even after being with me for a long duration".

"My King" He said when I interrupted, "You think she is a witch... the most powerful one that too. It's laughable".

"But my King I witnessed her transforming.." he said looking at me confused.

"Did you really?" I said and while sipping the blood wine.

He stared at me confused. 

"Let the game begin my boy" I said smirking.

Elysa's POV

When my eyes opened I was confused to see myself in a study. Though I asked Adrian he didn't answer. The drive was silent though my mind was flooding with curiosity. As soon as we were back Adrian commanded me to go to my chamber and he entered his study.

I was about to lay down when the healer came to me. She looked at me from a distance for a while and then she smiled and then felt my forehead. I was confused at her gesture when she said " I must say  I would have believed it if I could have felt any power from you".

"What do you mean by that" I asked her confused.

"Well not for me to tell. Lord Adrian will tell you himself when he sees fit" She answered and gave me a potion and asked me to take it. I took that and immediately felt drowsy. I could feel someone leaving before I lost myself to dark once again.
