Dilemma

I was about to lay down when the healer came to me. She looked at me from a distance for a while and then she smiled and then felt my forehead. I was confused at her gesture when she said " I must say I would have believed it if I could have felt any power from you".

"What do you mean by that" I asked her confused.

"Well not for me to tell. Lord Adrian will tell you himself when he sees fit" She answered and gave me a potion and asked me to take it. I took that and immediately felt drowsy. I could feel someone leaving before I lost myself to dark once again.

Adrian's POV

I was still in my thoughts when I was told that healer has visited her and now she was unconscious. I was about to move when the servant informed me that the healer warned me to keep my powers under control and if I used abundance of it I might end up killing her. I nodded and moved to the chambers where she lay unaware of my intentions. I could not let go of the incident that happened in the party. If she indeed was exactly what was projected in the party then I would have to let her go. I regret making the promise to my elder brother that I would reject my mate if we have a shared one.

As I took her in my arms to take her to the crystal room where I would be able to find out her real personality if she is hiding it. I need to do this for myself. I could not go back on the word even if we do not see eye to eye to each other. I was about to enter the room when I heard his voice

" Good to see you want to let her go brother" 

I turned back to see him standing him infront of me. It was bit surprising how he entered my mansion even though I had protected my mansion to ensure he was not allowed to enter. 

"How did you enter here?" I asked.

"Wow inspite of all you could have asked, you asked me that brother" he smirked and walked over to me and whispered near my ear "Isn't she lovely my brother?" 

I glared at him and he smirked again much to my annoyance "I know it's very hard to let her go but you know she's mine and you have to let her go brother".

"You wish Demon King..." I said.

"Oh no brother I liked it when my subordinates call me that but not you brother..." He said smiling maliciously. I glared at him and he said "I want you to call me Master Adrian".

I could feel the anger building inside me but I controlled it and said "Get lost Demon, there's no place for you here".

As I turned to face him, I saw him disappearing and I understood he threw his subtle form in my Mansion, though he could not touch or do anything but his presence annoyed me. He could not just enter in any form then how he was able to bypass my security net unless someone helped him or someone inside is having something that belongs to him.

I took her in crystal room and immediately the crystal inside started glowing and then a form appeared infront of me and asked "What is it you seek Lord Adrian?"

"You know it then give me the answer I seek" I replied.

The form smiled and replied "You want to know whether this girl has any powers. The answer is yes and no both".

"what do you mean by that crystal?" I asked.

"She doesn't have powers inside her if you want to know but she does have powers on her" Crystal replied.

"Crystal please I don't like riddles. I want to you to state everything clearly" I asked sternly.

 "It will be revealed in time Lord Adrian" Saying that the form disappeared and crystal turn blank as if there was nothing. I yelled at crystal again but no go. Though I was the owner of the crystal, still the power inside was beyond my reign.

I brought her back to her room because if there was any doubt regarding her possessing any powers was cleared by Crystal but what she meant by she has powers on her was the only thing in my mind. Also seeing Demon King in my Mansion was also eating me inside.

It angered me to know that he wanted me to let her go, the girl I fell for. I had let go of my mate as we had a shared one due to my love for him when we were young. And to keep my promise of rejecting my mate if we had a shared one was my mistake. I rejected her and he tortured her because she loved me, inspite of my rejection and crude words.

She didn't accept him and he forced her to marry him and be with him and when she didn't agree to that he tortured her in the most brutal way till she died and now again he is claiming this girl to be his mate. How can fate make mistake twice? How is it that we shared mate again because I remember her telling that she doesn't want to be with him, she never felt herself to be his mate
