"Charlie Marie Andrews, get up!"
I groaned at my mom standing in front of me, who was not looking pleased.
It was the first day of school at Middleton Jounior High. I was 14 and an eighth grader, and was NOT looking forward to school again. I mean, why do teachers teach us this junk and try to cram everything into our brains? I don't understand it.
Right then my annoying pest of a little brother, Ryan, ( if you call him a brother, which I normally don't. I usually call him the monster) came in and hopped on my bed. Unlike me , he actually liked school. He got straight A's in everything. The only thing I did school for was science and track. But that was it.
"Come on, Charles, get up!" Charles was Ryan's nickname for me. You know, after the character in Peanuts, Charlie Brown.
" I am up, you oaf," I mumbled to Ryan.
You think he would have left me by then but noooo. He kept right on bouncing on my bed.
Bounce, bounce, bounce.
"Ryan, get off my bed!" I exclaimed.
After us yelling at each other for a few minutes, my mom finally came in. Great timing mom.
"Ryan, honey, get off your sisters bed," my mom said and then added," Please."
After my mom practically dragged Ryan off my bed, I got some peace and quiet. But I knew from past experiences if i didn't get up, my mom would let Ryan back in my room and let him jump on my bed again.
After I got up, I looked at myself in the mirror. I was 5'9 and very skinny. My wavy Ginger hair didn't really match my bright green eyes. I walked over to my dressser and picked out an outfit that my mom had bought for me a few days earlier. It was a light blue/white loose fitting V-neck t-shirt and a pair of blue jean capri's. To go with it was a silver belt and gray/silver flats. I put on the outfit and walked over torwards the mirror.
I looked myself over once, then twice. I decided that i looked decent, the only things that threw the outfit off were my ginger hair and green eyes. Oh, well. I walked out of my room, bracing myself for the breakfast.
