let's just pretend that david and liza were 15ish in 2008 because it's like 4 am and i don't feel like doing the math but i'm pretty sure they weren't

"'Sup bitch ass" Liza greets her next door neighbor and best friend of 9 years, as she casually climbs through his window. David smiles at her, "There she is, the shortest, most tiniest, asshole I know" She flips him off, quickly followed by laughing.

She flops onto his bed, immediately starting to rant about some bitch at school. She rants for like 45 minutes, and he just listens. He always listens to her. They've been best friends since the week after he moved in. the only time they've ever fought was over a milk carton in like sixth grade when she first started her hormonal changes and shit.

She sighs, "I'm done ranting I wanna dance". She says that in kind of a whiney, pouting, adorable voice, and David rolls his but smiles.

"What song?", He asks as he picks up his iPod.

"That one Paramore song. What's it called?" She concentrates for a second.

"Misery business?" He asks, kinda just reading her mind.

"Yes!!" She jumps up, "I'm still pissed you have an iPod and I'm stuck with my sister's old mp3 player"

"You'll make it through this tough time, Lisa," He says sarcastically, purposely calling her "Lisa" to piss her off.

She just huffs and walks over to his dresser and retrieves the brush she leaves here for when she accidentally spends the night after ranting for too long until it gets too late and the fall asleep. The thought reminds her of last time she slept over, and they woke up cuddling, they haven't talked about it since. She immediately feels uncomfortable and tries to think about something else.

The song start playing and she starts dancing, waiting for the first line.

She whips her head around to look at David when the beat drops. She sings into the hairbrush like it was a microphone. He laughs at her and watches.

"I'm in the business of misery let's take it from the top."

"She's got a body like an hourglass, it's tickn' like a clock"

She points to him at "she's" and he laughs at her again.

She dramatically flings her arms around and dances around his room. Swaying her hips and laughing at his facial expression occasionally.

When it's about to get to the chorus she grabs another hairbrush and grabs his arm, pulling him up to dance with her. He wraps his arms loosely around her waist like he always does, and she turns around and raises her free arm over her head, moving her hips, she drops, low like a stripper and flips her hair on the way back up, running her hands along her leg. They both laugh as he gets a mouth full of her long curls. She turns back to him and they sing the chorus together, laughing and smiling.

As the song ends Liza attempts to simply walk, but being her clumsy self she trips, and David turns around just in time to steady her.

Both of their eyes go wide and Liza inhales sharply. Their faces are centimeters apart, he can feel her breath on his lip. She pulls away first, although they do it at almost the same time. They're both blushing.

Liza is the first to speak after a long silence, "Sorry. You know me, clumsy" She laughs nervously.

He still doesn't say anything.
